Knowing we're good enough to still be playing, I can't enjoy this Sunday

The post was saying tony sucks and only good QB's or defenses are left. "If you'll notice, the top quarterbacks in the league (Rodgers, Brady, Luck)"

Luck has top QB potential, and is playing well...but he is not a top QB yet.

Oops. That was over my head, lol.

Our defense wasn't good enough to be playing this Sunday. :(
And, as much as I love Romo, he's not Aaron Rodgers. If you'll notice, the top quarterbacks in the league (Rodgers, Brady, Luck) or the team with a super defense (Seahawks) are playing. Romo can get us up to a certain point. But we needed help from our defense and didn't get it.
So while I think we could have been playing, the post-season really shows you the value of your units - both offensively and defensively. And while we overachieved, practically speaking, we finished where we should have as a team. We're a notch below Green Bay and Seattle. But I expect us to push pass them next year, if we make all the right moves.

All valid points. I would contend the Colts D/Green Bay Defenses are pretty avg at best. Sometimes you're matched up against the right teams. The Colts faced a decimated and underachieving Bengals team that ALWAYS faulters come postseason. Then a Denver team that was trending down for the last month. We we're amongst 3 12-4 teams in the NFC but lost out due tie breakers having beat Seattle at their place. So I would argue that we deserved to be where we were and contend for a SB. We're also 8-0 on the road which made last weeks game all the more intriguing. I'll grant you that Rodgers being hobbled helped us tremendously but we also came up short on several opportunities to sieze control of the game (mismanaging the half resulting in a 10 or 6 point swing/not recovering a fumbled kickoff return/Murray's fumble looking at nothing but green in front of him etc.) This is not a Romo vs Rodgers conversation. So many other factors are at play here and we could have beat them. No need to rationalize not being "good enough" to still be playing.

Anyone else feel like this? I always enjoy the championship games, but in just feel like blah because we aren't in it. We destroyed the colts, we owned the Seahawks in their house, and we should've best Green Bay. I'm a huge fan of the NFL in General and I like to watch it all, but man, idk if I can this weekend

Will be a hollow feeling but wanting something like this to happen.

1. Hawks beat Packers to send them back to reality land

2. Colts beat NE... Enough of the Pats

3. Colts upset Hawks.... The rise of Andrew Luck and the absolute end of all the Manning talk......

Thanks for pointing that out.

To a group of people who saw Romo's team beat the Seahawks' super defense, then beat Luck's team, and almost beat the Packers last week. While Romo himself went 54 of 71 for 659 yards, 8 TD 0 INT, with a 141.7 rating in those games.

I'm with you. I'm eating at bw3's because we have a gift card set to expire. My sons and I will all be in Cowboys gear. I dread seeing Green Bay fans and I honestly hope no one tries to be funny.
.

Almost universally the Packer fans I've talked to agree that Dez made that catch and the refs call it wrong.

At worst, they seem to think that, at best, it's a iffy judgement call on the Calvin Johnson rule.

While they are happy with the victory, I haven't seen them reveling in the Cowboys's misery.

I will be watching and after a lot of thought I will be pulling for the underdogs in these games. Colts over Pats and yes GB over Seahawks. I guess I would rather have been beat by the team who wins it all. Having said that I expect to see the Pats and Seahawks in SB. lol

Even at the game, they weren't reveling or rubbing it in. Quite the opposite. I had a bunch of fans make their way toward me, and shaking my hand, saying that it was a good game, and that it could have gone either way. The fans around me all said that it was a catch as well.

After the first few days I felt the same. But now I'm really hoping to see the Packers get blown out, so I'll be tuning in.

Green Bay was a little better when the chips were down. Watch the games...

i think it's because you know it's going to be tough to duplicate the spirit we saw on this year's team.

people think if we just add a couple of dlinemen then we're on the way to the super bowl. that's not how it works unfortunately.

this year we benefited from good health, a weak division, and great team chemistry. this was a special year ruined by crooked refs.

Preach it!

If you don't watch the game, then the money grubbing NFL might see how many viewers they lost and next time we get "the call." Just sayin'

Same feeling here…I cannot switch to any program that is talking about the games on Sunday. Totally lost interest..It's no that we are out..I was ok with us losing after a great season, but the way they robbed us makes it even worse…All I want to follow Cowboys news and that's it

Besides, both games will be over midway through second quarter..

I'm going to watch and root for the Seahawks and the Colts, which would not only send the Packers home so they aren't on the national stage for a while, but leave two teams we beat in the Super Bowl.

Itll get worse if Indy (especially) and Seattle get in the Super Bowl. We man-handled them both....
