Kraft will get his day in the sun.
I agree but wonder if he will have an opportunity to bask in the honor. Kraft is 83. He will either walk on stage in Canton or family/friends will talk about him posthumously.

There is an even sadder possibility. Kraft's mental health might decline to a degree that he would still be alive when the acclaim was presented but not fully aware of being honored.

That was the injustice done to Chuck Howley. Sometimes, the Hall's Board of Selectors drag their feet so long that deserving recipients are robbed of enjoying the truly rare distinction.

I have no idea why Jerry is in it. If players have to wait so many year after they retire to be considered, so should owners.
I gave a like because the differing requirement is contradictory. However, Father Time ends players' careers of performing professionally eventually. Technically, any contributor can continue adding to the NFL's significance indefinitely.

That said, it is kinda wacky how coaches are caught between the two other parties' time prerequisites. Coaches must be retired for at least a year. How and why the Hall thought coaches can be fast tracked in the selection process over players is a mystery to me.

Except owners often own until they are 90 and drop dead. Do owners ever "retire"? I mean I guess on occasion they may sell the team.

I get that issue that owners stay in their jobs longer, but Jerry gets in and still has many years left afterwards? And no matter what he does in those years only the years prior to his induction matter? Maybe I am being petty because it's Jerry, and right now he is not behaving like a HoF owner.

If Jerry is in, Kraft should be. Kind of crazy when you think about it.
Based on what? Kraft's impact on the game isn't 1/100th what Jerry's has been. People can hate Jerry all they want but his fingerprints are all over the modern NFL. Sponsorship deals, stupendous TV money, even the salary cap are all artifacts of of Jerry's work. All the owners, including Kraft, owe Jerry for a lot of their billions.. What massive impact on the game has Kraft had other than presiding over the best group of cheaters in NFL history?

I wish anyone (not you) declaring Jerry Jones was primarily inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, for the franchise's 90's championships, would consider what you have typed here. Everything in bold above is what actually landed Jones in the Hall--not what he 'did' with the title of general manager.

All those worshipping Jerry and everything he’s done for the NFL better not complain about having to pay through the nose for all these premium channels needed now to watch games. Just wait for the PPV packages on the horizon.

Bbbbbbbbbaby, ya ain’t seen nothin yet .

until they do no have enough to make a decent profit what difference does it make. Just like the auto industry making 45K, 50k, 60k cars. trucks, and suvs until there is no margin in it who cares.

An NFL owner is measured by his teams VALUE. So... Jerry is definitely a hall of famer. Also, as a massive Cowboys fan, i could give 2 sh**s about what Kraft thinks. Boohoo. Who cares.

It is the first of eight or nine avatars I will display daily, representing various movie and television roles Mr. Jones played during his career.
I suggest his roles as Thulsa Doom, Umslopogaas and older Kokumo!
