You never know, I've seen things start off from smaller ideas. Heck, I once dated a girl because her friend, a friend of mine as well, told me that she was a great cook and I was tired of eating pizza and pot pies. All these years and 4 kids later, we are still married and she is still the best cook I've ever seen or heard of.

It would have to be something other then DC for sure. I don't know if the NFL still allows for Assistant HC as credible, in these situations, any longer.
 
I don't understand these Richard threads. He isn't going anywhere this off-season. There arent many vacancies left, and offensive coaches are the ones getting the jobs regardless. Lets talk about this February of 2020.
 
Sean Lee should have to pay his dues just like every other coach. I'm sure there are better options available.

Assistant HC is not a recognized title in terms of lateral moves. He's under contact and can be blocked from any move except to HC.

Perhaps you should restrict your comments to areas were you have a rudimentary understanding of the rules.

Everything you hear out of Miami is that they want Richard. If he wants that job, it's his, according to reports.

Not all great players make great coaches. Some are meant to do and others are meant to teach. Case in point, Mike Singletary, counterpoint... Ken Norton Jr. I wouldn't be too quick to write Richard or Lee off yet. If the Fins want Richard that badly and his interview was Sunday, why hasn't he signed? It's just an email attachment, signature and return, done deal without leaving town. Perhaps listening to a JJ offer OR he'd rather not be part of the Dolphin soup
 
I say we go out and hunt for Red October in February and make it Red February after the last game of the season. Mind you, I didn't say who's last game. I say we bring in D Ware as our new DC if Richard decides to put on the swim fins ;)
 
Let's just say this, if it were to slip out that Mari was retiring and Richard was taking over as DC, before Saturday..... Richard will be in a fish soup if we lose Saturday, fans be all over him like flies on a rotting fish carcass:omg: :laugh:

Except the Rams, Patriots, Saints, Eagles, and a few other teams are implementing college offenses into their NFL offense. What you call "gimmick" is now being considered the evolution of offensive football.

He can't sign anything until after the season, nor can the Fins make and official announcement.

And, oddly enough no one is hiring defensive coaches from college that haven't been able to scheme against these same offensive concepts. Add to that the fact that the NFL has invited these schemes in by limiting what a defense can or can't do in an effort to make the game "more exciting". Now, let's go ahead and pretend that a college DC is going to thrive in that environment and we're right back where started. Your new DC getting his *** whipped on a weekly basis.

In general Defenses in college are pathetic.

Of course there are exceptions, but in general I am not looking for a college DC who has not had NFL experience.
