One reason NE and Pitt don’t worry as much about value is their complete confidence in the evaluations their scouting dept has made. They know their board contains players that fit their philosophy and vision.

Yup.

NE consistently takes guys high who were rated lower, and gets lauded for doing so. Sebastian Vollmer, Jamie Collins. There's two I remember off the top of my head.

It was Stephen Jones and he said that they would not take a TRUE NT in the first, that they would have to also have some 3 tech traits as well.

In year where there are 3 quality options in the top 50 that's really sad...and dumb.
