Lakers Thread

Another loss. :(

That's four in a row. Gonna be five tommorow after we lose to the Washington Generals. After that we finish out the road trip with Philadelphia. In all likelihood we'll be heading back to L.A. on a six game slide. I'm not even sure the Lakers can make the playoffs at this point. If that's the case management should try to convince Kobe and Nash to retire, let Dwight walk, get some cap space, trade Pau, and tank.

Who let you back in the house?

I overrated them. I'm gonna be a man about it and admit it. These Lakers just aren't very good. I was wrong. I have given up on this season. I will still watch every game, but I don't expect to win anything. Making the playoffs would be a huge accomplishment. Kobe and Dwight are terrific, but everyone else is either old, washed up, or just straight up sucks. Nash is still an excellent player even at age 38, but he won't help this team much. Our main issue is defensively and that as never been Nash's calling card even in his prime. Pau is done. Don't see him helping either.

Dwight is looking bad. Im not sure I would want him over Al Jefferson. I never thought Id say that. Back must be messed up. I also must say he is probably a bigger idiot than Lebron at this point. The way he cried his way on n off last year was a joke. Lakers defense will get worse with Nash. Next they will be a run n gun team and that wont work. Im happy the Mavs have mega space now for youth. Lakers should do the same.

You toss enough darts and occasionally you'll get one right.

This is one I nailed. Even have Magic talking about what a poor system fit this is.

And everyone now recognizes that so few Lakers play any defense at all.

The Lakers are considering bringing in Delonte West who was waived by the Cowboys. There's no question the dude has mental issues, but he'd instantly become our best player after Kobe and Dwight. That alone is enough reason to bring him in.

We waived him? We could use some secondary help :p:

And if the Lakers lose to the Wiz then they should forfeit the rest of the season. No joke.

Lol my head was completely somewhere else. Anyways I agree. Tank for Shabaaiz or whatever his name is. Kobe said he wish they played against the Washington Generals well they are today. :laugh2:

its a process

it is dantoni's first year, give him time

just need to keep stacking those practices together

DWest pushed Mayo down the stairs. Thats speaks volumes.

What's the alternative? Having to see Chris Duhon and Darius Morris stink up the joint at point guard until Nash gets back. Yeah I'll take my chances with Delonte.

I see you've completely gone off the deep end.

You're lucky you're a Sixers fan and haven't been terrorized with such horrendous play at the point guard position like I have.

Please.. don't even start. As a Sixers fan, i've had to watch crappy season after crappy season as the Lakers have dominated the league every year.

Yeah the Lakers have really dominated with those two embarrassing second round exits the last two seasons. Philadelphia actually did better last season than L.A.

LA's major question every year for the past decade or so has been, "Are we going to win it all this year?"

The Sixers major question for that time period has been, "Are we going to get screwed in the draft lottery again this year?"
