I nailed this Lakers fiasco.

I get plenty wrong but not this one.

Howard will end up in ATL or Dallas. He likes both better than the Lakers.

Only way Howard stays in LAL is if they trade Kobe AND Gasol instead.

Nets can't get involved because they have nothing but bad contracts to trade back.

Cuban can be messy and misfire but he isn't stupid; Brooklyn was. That team is locked into mediocrity and gets to pay out the nose for the right to be.

I could see Brooklyn and LAL both amnesty someone this off-season.

Cuban knew teams would have to trade and shed. Dwight wants to be the MAN he would be in ATL or Dallas. I read last night if LAL signs D12 they would be at 214 million that's 3 times the next team. That's with luxury tax. The thing is LAL likes the glitz players so I could see some dumb team taking Pau and Artest. Both IMO are not worth what they make. Brooklyn cannot get D12.

Even if the Lakers make the playoffs, I don't think they will go that far in the playoffs. They are going to have to exert a lot of energy in the regular season just to make the playoffs now while the contending teams can pick and choose when to go all out and conserve their energy for the post-season.

I'm telling you, I just have a feeling he is going to end up getting traded to Brooklyn, just a gut feeling. Atlanta is probably number 2 with Dallas and Houston having outside shots at him. I don't think he stays in LA if Kobe stays.

Ya, it's hard envisioning a scenario where it isn't spurs, thunder, clips and grizz in the second round in some order

It is virtually impossible to get him to Brooklyn.

One of the reasons Cuban used for getting under the cap was how tough trades would be for teams over the cap in the new system.

LAL and Brooklyn both gave up future draft picks in trades last year.
Neither is anywhere near under the cap thus can't take back any cash.

They need multiple teams willing to take on cash and have few assets to use to encourage such a team.

ATL and DAL both have space and some assets.
DAL looked like a lock for a lottery pick 2 weeks ago and has a ton of expiring contracts which clear cap space.

HOU isn't in the mix anymore because Lin and Harden make too much money.
So for HOU to work it out they'd need to trade Harden for D12 and that trade makes zero sense for either team.

As a Mavs fan I am not sure I'd want D12. He needs to prove he is healthy. Right now he hasn't even been that good defensively.

Someone would take Gasol but no one is taking MWP. Kobe makes too much money to get rid of.

Who would the Lakers take from Brooklyn?

I doubt it happens.

the lakers could take brook lopez and cap fillers for dwight, other teams can get involved to facilitate, its not impossible, if they want it done it can happen.

would the nets have a MASSIVE payroll? yes! would they pay 200 mil in salaries after the new tax rules? yes! does their super rich owner care? i doubt it as long as they get a dwight howard there

Looks like we helped you out:p: , but really though this is the best game we've played all season. Here's to hoping this style of play is the start of something great

Better days ahead for the Lakers? I can only hope. Beating a team like the Thunder was epic. Now we have to win the games we're supposed to and get back to .500

They will need to be at least 6 games above .500 to make the playoffs IMO
