Deep threat guy: Washington
50/50 guy: Gallup
Route/possession guy: Lamb
Jack of all trades guy: Brown

Not ideal, but not terrible either
All those guys get better as Tyron gets back into the lineup. Better trenches makes a better QB and a better QB makes good WRs.

The most exciting thing is Tyron may come back healthy and make an already great offensive line better. Dak will read defenses and throw better if he has a second or 2 more time in the pocket. That was a poorly worded sentence but you get my drift.

He officially ran a 4.54 at the combine. Draftscout has another time on him as 4.46 and whether it's an estimate or not 4.44 as his low. He reportedly ran a 4.50 at his proday. But regardless a 40 time only tells you what they run 40 yards in shorts. Some players are just faster on a field in pads and running farther than 40 yards. Some have build up speed. He got deep a lot at OK St. but in Pittsburgh Ben could no longer throw the ball deep.
21.53 mph based on the difference in 40 time and 20 time.

From Oklahoma?
Brooklyn, then Texas for a short time. I don't know where she picked it up, but it annoys the hell out of me. Anytime she says "warsh" or "warshington", or whatever, I just say, "What?", until she says it right. I just can't understand why anyone would put an r in the word.

My mother-in-law says it too. She’s from OK, which is why I asked. It is strange.

Is Dak going to be instructed to throw it deep now that we have a threat?

A 4.32 short shuttle and an 4.50-4.55 is not deep threat measurable numbers. Cooper had 4.31-4.42 speed and a 3.98 short shuttle and has gone over 200 yds receiving in multiple games.

Don't drink the Kool Aid.
It’s not Kool-Aid it’s tape. His college and NFL tape show a guy who’s a deep threat. His times numbers in shorts don’t define his deep ability.

Watch James Washington NFL highlights. It’s all deep passes and running away from DB’s lol. I’ll never get people who just use combine numbers and refuse to watch what a player has actually put on film in the league. Dude averaged 14 a catch lol that’s what deep threats do.

If you saw the nationally televised passing contest vs Dalton you'd know Dak can't throw it deep. You can find it on youtube. He lost btw.

Speed isn’t the only trait that can get you deep. Washington was a master of getting behind defenses in college. It was never his speed. Hopefully he will add that dimension for us

He also does a good job of timing his jumps to go up and get the ball. Some players are really good at high-pointing and others are not. A lot of deep throws are not right on the mark, so the ability to track the ball in the air and put yourself in position to go up and get it is important.
