My dude watch his highlights lol his average depth of target was 15 yards. That’s up there with the better deep threats in the league.

And do you watch Pittsburgh man? Ben could not throw down the field, they surrounded him with short area quickness guys. You know who led the team in targets Ben’s last year? Ray Ray freakin McCloud who caught more passes behind the line of scrimmage than any player in the league that year.

It’s not hard to understand why Pittsburg let him go. Washington does one thing and it’s get downfield, the Steelers don’t do one thing and it’s throw downfield. 1+1=2.

Don’t even know why you keep bringing up college? His ADOT is from the NFL. The highlights I linked are his NFL highlights. Just go watch his games man, most of his success was downfield passing and jump balls. Not sure why you keep ignoring the actual NFL tape he has lol. If you watch the tape and think him catching deep passes is him not catching deep passes then I don’t know what to tell you.

Just because he’s not Henry Ruggs doesn’t mean he’s not a deep threat. The facts are he’s a 14 yard per reception and a 15 yard ADOT guy in the NFL. Those are deep threat numbers simple and plain.
He is not Dez Bryant who averaged 17 and 19 ypc in college his last 2 years. James Washington could not get separation in the NFL vs NFL CBs. Jump Jump. All NFL WRs and DBs can Jump Jump. 39 inch is a good vertical. But that did not help him in the NFL with only one season above your mark of 14.0 ypc. No separation, has a little wiggle and is explosive running and jump balls. He is not a speed separating WR. That is proven by the slow short shuttle time. You went dumpster diving in Pittsburgh. You are what you are.

He gives them another threat in the passing game, one that Brown and Tolbert have not been. If they can get a catch or two from him here and there then great.

Dude I’m so confused on why you keep bringing up college. Not once have I spoken on Washington’s college stats, literally not one time.

Watch. His. NFL. Highlights. He. Gets. Deep.

Super simple. Acting like WR’s aren’t dependent on QB’s is nuts. Pittsburgh has had one of the worse QB situation’s in the league since Washington entered. The only season where he actually had a chance with targets and QB play with freakin Mason Rudolph and Duck Hodges (lmao do you know how bad it is when those guys are an upgrade?) he showed pretty clearly that he gets deep and can make plays when given the chance.

No one is saying he’s a beast, but the one thing he can do is get deep. Not even arguable so if you respond I won’t be back lol. Probably haven’t even watched his tape huh. But no worries you can bring up random college stuff again I’m sure that proves the point lol.

What? His numbers and stats say he’s a deep threat why do you keep ignoring his ADOT and YPC?

Wait lmaoooooo did you post this because he didn’t have a deep catch in his first game of the season?

Yooooo you’re hilarious don’t even respond if that’s why. Dude said I told you so after one game back from a 3 month injury, only on CZ lol.

You're also the only guy on this “he can’t get deep” train so keep on riding brotha, prove us all wrong lol

You dogged Mason Rudolph as a QB. But that was his QB in college and he actually did a little better. However, as I said and as his NFL tape shows, he is slow out of breaks and does not get separation from NFL DBs.

He (Washington) is not and never will be a deep threat. TY Hilton came out of FL INTL with 4.34 speed. That was nearly a decade ago and I bet he is faster and can get separation better than Washington.

Before you say something else without facts or thought, Washington and this entire WR group was so impressive that they tried to sign a one legged OBJ and now signed a 10 year vet in Hilton. Just like with the Raiders, it takes a multi Pro Bowl player to replace Amari Cooper. Compare Cooper's short shuttle and cone drill to James Washington and you will see why Cooper as a top 10 draft pick and has made multiple Pro Bowls vs. over hyped James Washington.

No one’s hyping him. He does one thing, it’s go deep. That’s why he’s not an Wr1/2, he’s a 3 at best.
