Yes Dunbar has had injury issues, but he is a weapon when he's on the field. How do people not understand that we need guys like Dunbar on this team? Everyone said "Oh well" when Harris left for the giants last year, and how did that work out for both teams? Every player on the team can't be a superstar, good teams have players like Dunbar and Harris sprinkled around at every position. You need depth, you need guys that have heart and can make plays consistently. Even a team with 6 or 8 superstars isn't gonna win if the supporting cast around them is garbage.

How do people not understand that he was a "weapon" because he was featured? It was the design. That was the plan.

The idea of Dunbar is far better than the player himself. A pass catching back who can be used in a variety of ways is the value.

We need a pass catching back if that is what the offensive scheme calls for. It does not have to be Dunbar because he is so special.

There are tons of them in the draft and will be far cheaper and might be able to be a little more reliable.

Good, we need less stupid players and him getting injured by running out 9 yards deep in the endzone was stupid.

All part of the plan.

Dunbar is being underrated on this board, he was elite in the pass game last year

Which is more likely: Dunbar has a 100 yard game or Dunbar misses a game due to injury?

I understand he has talent but they either don't play him like 2014 of he is used and ends up on IR. We have DMC so compared to an empty roster he looks good but he isn't overly effective at ST due to his size and lack of return skills. I would want someone else at 3rd RB and a draft pick for RB2.

21 catches for 215 yards in 3 games is about as good as it gets for a 3rd down receiving back, and you know it.

And three games is just that. Three games, two and a quarter minus Bryant. And you know it.

Forte got 12 million for 3 years, we could have matched that.

Nevertheless, he was a huge weapon as a receiver for those 3 games. And there's no reason to think he won't continue to be a huge weapon as long as he's on the field with Romo as his QB.

This is a tricky one. Dallas can always move DMC back to a 3rd down nickel RB role, especially if they draft a RB early (Rds 1-2)

So while Dallas values what Dunbar brings as a pass catcher, they have options.
