We should get Quisperny G'Dunzoid Jr. from University of Phoenix in the 6th.

No way he lasts until the 6th round, he's a sleeper and if they want him, they need to use a 4th+

Junglist, I am not trying to nitpick, but he is a Sr., not a Jr.

He fathered a child at the age of 16, hence the Sr.. He has had an interesting story. All kinds of academic issues, and of course drugs.

But he is the kind of kid you secretly root for.

I would like to have Dunbar back, but the injury history concerns me.

As Stephen Jones says, "you cant make the club in the tub".......................(famous quote when he was asked about Mo)

I rooted for Gregory last year.

You have to take the good with the bad.

But also just understand where the player comes from.

Gregory, I have next to no sympathy for.

He had two good parents, military upbringing. His father was a college grad from Northwestern. Went to a good school.

G'Dunzoid came from a broken home, fathered a child at a young age and then did drugs, and also had an unfortunate incident outside a strip club. He had scholarship offers when he was trying to get himself back together at Coffeyville (KS.), a program where a lot of players try to use as a spring board when everything came crashing down. He was one of the ones who didn't make it.

Compared to Gregory, who basically had it all? I root for a kid like Quisperny every time.

Crap, you're right. I don't know why i was thinking he was a jr. Yeah, he really piques my interest. Gregory's had plenty of chances. It seems like G'Dunzoid is making the most out of a crappy situation. Good for him.

Well, he has to. I am the first one to be hard on these athletes. A lot of them if they were just smarter could set themselves and their children up for life. I hope he makes the best decisions for himself going forward, he has a child to think of.

His story reminded me of a couple that I had seen on NFL Network's Undrafted. It is amazing the work some of these athletes go through just to get a try out, even going to the Regional Combine is a big deal. Even scraping up the $150.00 cost has to be tough when you are living hand to mouth. Then when you have no effective minor league to turn to? It is hard when the best thing they can do is play football. And they are all talented, just not NFL elite.

Most were just meatheads who were trying to make it. Nothing like what he has been through. You never hear about their past, but knowing about his and how his abusive father made him and his mother homeless? That was pretty tragic.

Yeah, crazy stuff. Sad they used a house's address on the street they slept in their car on just so he could go to school. I think he'd fit our scheme because he's a north/south runner. He's more game-fast than his numbers make him look.

Well, why he piqued my interest after your initial post and I reseached seeing how he was adept at catching the football. I know how people have lost their minds about Dunbar, but you can find pass catching RBs anywhere.

If it is a hungry kid like this versus a player who has had a three year scholarship from Jerry Jones and who is injured, easy choice. What about his health history, that is one thing I don't know about.

21 catches for 215 yards in 3 games is about as good as it gets for a 3rd down receiving back, and you know it.

RBs capable of catching at a rate of 85 balls a season don't grow on trees. The ability is there and Alexander just doesn't want to admit he blew that evaluation, too. So he's got to pretend the guy was beloved and overhyped to begin with.

The real knock on Dunbar is the injuries, plus the fact that he's got so little ST value if he's not handling returns. Honestly, if I'm looking at him, he's probably getting in my roster at the expense of a sixth WR if he's there at all. If we had two solid RBs who were young and healthy, Dunbar might make a good change of pace option. His route flexibility does give us some options for extra snaps for him on offense. But it's hard keeping that 3rd back if he can't give you ST coverage snaps too.

Regardless, he's a fairly unique player. The matchup advantages he gives you with personnel groups alone mean he's someone you have to consider bringing back, at least.

I've always liked Dunbar. I also went to UNT, and I've met him over at a friend's apartment. Cool guy. However, we can get Quisperny G'Dunzoid in the 4-6th, and he will be equally as good, if not better. His health is not a red light either.

I'm all for replacing him. No rookie's going to come in and run the routes he runs out of the gate, but that can come, and there are other ways a rookie can out contribute him. Health and ST coverage are big ones right off the bat.

Dunbars are drafted every year and always available, could be special if healthy, but never are.
Dont get tied up with a name.

Because of his knee he probably re-signs for 1 year at the vet minimum.
