Yeah, well it will be a pretty short call when Dak’s agent says 5 year, $190M with $100M guaranteed.
oh, you think they don't know the price already? seriously? you think they weren't aware of negotiations last year? wow, I guess this board are the only ones that knew it, perhaps FO should just come here and ask questions and get their facts

How would they know the details? Tampering?

Last year’s numbers mean nothing if the cap goes to 175.

No one really knows the numbers last year other than the main players. We got anonymous sources saying 4 and 5 years the problem. Never got the numbers.

Dak could not get what he wanted from Jerry. If Jerry won’t overpay, what makes you think these other GMs will overpay for 1-3 with a broken leg?

Sometimes you need to hear it from the horse’s mouth.

Sometimes teams show an interest and tell the player to come back if the price comes down.

Last year’s numbers mean nothing if Dak can’t pass a physical or there are uncertainties.

based on the discussions on Dak contract last year...so you don't think agents talk to each other and all of this is hush hush? the parameters of the deal were well publicized....you figure the team franchized him and he made 34, expected to make 38.......

and btw, every team has to deal with the 175 cap and the league will figure out a way to work around it. otherwise the streets will be filled with veteran FAs and neither NFLPA or NFL want that...plus, deals can easily be made to move money in different years to work within the cap...not that hard..

its wishful thinking on Dak detractors to think there is no market for Dak and he is coming back on a 27M deal......

some people just like the thrill of draft, finding a player, as opposed to knowing how to enjoy it when they find one.

trust me, no, trust the market that there is a lot of teams that would gladly pay Dak and work with him on a contract, even a 3 year contract......so that he would be a FA in 2024 as he wanted.

Teams are worried about revenue in the next couple years declining, not just next year. The NFL revenue peaked. It is trending down long term.

Teams will have a hard time getting near 175. Yes, salaries can be converted to bonuses. But that kicks the can down the road and also burns up cash flow. Those bonuses have to be paid in cash that day. Try to do that for a handful of players while adding Dak at the highest contract ever. Good luck. A few teams have the cap and cash flow to do it.

Teams can’t spread the cap hit out in a 3 year contract. The numbers don’t work with the cap. No way to spread out $105M over 3 years.

actually you are very wrong. the revenue has been going up each year...and was trending upwards....expected to continue to go upward.....there is a renegotiation of TV contracts that's up coming and expected to push the cap up by 20 to 25%..... this was the main reason that Dak didn't want a 5 year contract so he can hit FA in 2024!!....

the NFL revenue didn't peak....the 2021 salary cap is obviously due to covid and teams agreed on minimum spending and looking to figure out how to at least maintain the salary cap level.

cousins got a 3 year contract and then a 2 year extension fully gauranteed.

and if you think a little, perhaps, a team could give a 4 year contract with an out option in year 4, just to spread the bonus, and yet be able to manage the cap for 2021!!! seriously dude, you have no idea how the cap works...you are just winging stuff without thinking...

Not true for quarterback. They kept restructuring Brady. Bella check wants to win Prescott would be perfect there
Brady took WAY under market in every contract but possibly one

I have an absolutely no idea why the colts were not on this list

Tons of cap space, a very well-rounded and deep roster on both sides of the ball, and no starting QB under contract next year.

If I where Dak that would be a team I would be eyeballing if he wants to leave this circus of a franchise
