He didn't ned just any LG, he needed the greatest LG to ever play.

Simply the best at his position. Not even debatable. I loved watching this man play football. I would tape record games and rewind to watch how LA would man handle everyone. Man do I wish that Big E and LA had more playing together.

But doing so while on vacation with the family and so suddenly.

Rest In Peace, Larry Allen.

I will always remember Michael Strahan's stories about defensive linemen developing "Allen-itis" during the week. They would watch film of what Allen did to opposing defensive linemen and then invent an injury so they didn't have to go up against him.

Number 73 was the best to ever do it.

I just really cannot get past that he was only 52.
Dying suddenly on a vacation with his family.
