MINN was just figuring out how to use him before they traded him.

He should be a KR/Slot WR and given some runs and reverses and bubble screens.

I don't think the Jets bring him back for 10m though. PITT, BAL or CAR would be good landing spots
He should be paid about 2M with incentives, IMO.

Shouldn't Percy Harvin be included?

If the argument is that the final 4 didn't spend big on WRs, then Seattle says otherwise. Just because the guy was a big enough dousche to get traded midseason doesn't mean they didn't allocate resources they could have used elsewhere on him.

They may have spent big on him, but he didn't help the cause and wasn't even on the team the last half of the season. Even more justification to not pay big money to a WR. They did. They lost him. They were runner ups in the Super Bowl.

It doesn't matter if he didn't help

They spent the money, and if he weren't a turd they certainly wouldn't have been any worse off.

The coincidental outcome of 4 teams without a top paid WR on their roster says nothing, just as the fact that only 1 top paid QB was in the final 4, and that guy didn't make it to the Super Bowl.

In fact, 3 of the QBs in the final 4 are in the bottom half of average pay for starting QBs.

I guess that means successful teams don't spend on QBs either.

Physically maybe...but production, no.

the game I saw of CJ against Dallas couldn't be duplicated by any current WR in league. To be honest I have never seen WR dominate on that level ever. Its silly if thats Dez angle that he wants CJ money and if that's the case I think there is somewhat high probability that Dez will be playing his final year in Dallas. According to Stephen Jones, Dallas had alot of communication with Eugene Parker and then Dez switches agents who has had little communication with Dallas. Just like Murray at some point in this process Dez will have a make a business decisions on what is more important...getting few more million dollars or feeling apart of this cowboys teams and deciding to stay at a price that allows cowboys to build up that defense and make true run.

I thought for sure they'd cut him simply because he just isn't an elite receiver anymore. I know AZ had their QB problems last year, but 784 yards with 2 TD's is very mediocre.

Of course, I must admit I'm biased because he killed my fantasy team last year, but still... :D

So your point is that it's important to spend a lot of money on a position that doesn't require it to perform or even be on the team in order to win? Good to know.

Not sure where you got your QB numbers from, but here is the reality of it:
http://overthecap.com/position/quarterback
Aaron Rodgers 1. 22,000,000
Joe Flacco 3. 20,100,000
Tom Brady 17. 11,400,000
And Wilson was working off of his rookie contract. He will see a substantial raise.

No, my point is that WR spending isn't some road block to playing for a championship.

The Ravens didn't make it to the AFC Championship. It was the Colts.

Luck as well.

But so were Dez Bryant and Randall Cobb. Neither of those guys will be averaging what they do now in the next year or two, just like Wilson and Luck. So?
