"The timing" which is Dez being on top of his game and the NFL and up for a new contract is suspicious for MANY people not just the Cowboys organization. Anyone trying to extort him, blackmail him, make him pay for whatever they believe he has done to hurt them etc etc. A old associate, agent, mistress, family member etc etc is FARRRR more likely than that Jerry would release something terrible on a guy who he has been so personally linked with who has the potential to make him tons of money and win his team games.

You are right but ultimately he is a business man and when you are right against the cap and you have aging vets that may have at most 2 years left and you are paying them a ton of money based on a sentimental attachment you had for them in their prime you gotta do what you gotta do to balance the books.

I'll take a wait and see approach with this. I seriously doubt that this tape would be held on to for years, but I guess it is a possibility. Just think about it, who would walk around for years knowing they have a winning lottery ticket stashed away and wait to cash it in?

I get what you are saying about Wal-Mart but lets say Manager Joe Bob knew and hid it and didn't report it, and the victim did not report it, you cannot hide something at the corporate level if there is no knowledge except for one employee and one individual and no police action or request.

The victim doesn't have to report it for an adult to be off the hook for not reporting it. So if manager Joe Bob knows that a 5 year old child ( or any minor regardless of age) molested at his store by another adult and Joe Bob can prove it; then Joe Bob is mandated by the state to report it or he's in serious trouble. And whatever store he represents is also liable. The idea is most minors do not report sexual assault, in fact only about 10% of victims seek help. So the states/courts want to protect the victims as much as possible knowing that most victims do not tell anyone. So if Joe Bob knows, and can identify, that an adult sexually molested a minor then Joe Bob better report that. The victim reporting it has absolutely nothing to do with the adults responsibility of reporting.
