I am not going to complain the cowboys won yesterday and I saw something I haven't seen in dallas in a long time the beginings of a good defense maybe just maybe they are really doing something there the coaching is lacking some still but they hopefully will catch up to

Our coaches don't believe in coaching haha so what can you do but improve your roster.

I cannot believe how much better this defense looks with a pass rush. There were times yesterday where a receiver was open (or even wide open) but Smith had to either get rid of the ball quickly and off balance or was being hit as he threw, resulting in inaccurate throws and incompletions.

We've waited a decade for a pass rush and it's finally here. Such a shame that Lee missed those back breaking losses to the Rams and Packers early on putting us in a hole. This team is very, very dangerous.
We can thank Jaylon for Smith's inability to hit a wide open Hill who was about 10 steps past Anthony Brown on a go-route...Jaylon's pressure doesn't disrupt the timing of that throw and it is a pitch and catch TD.

Crawford's been playing well, too. Or rather, he's always played fairly well but it's a lot more obvious with the other two getting their pressure.

Gotta find a way to keep these guys together
When you say keep them together, you mean Irving and Tank or are you including Crawford in that equation as well?

That was a nice play by Jaylon for sure. I'm extremely critical of him as a run defender (and, at least IMO, rightfully so) but he's found a solid little niche as a situational pass rusher. He moves much better moving forward than laterally at this point.

Agreed...having him as a "red dog" blitzing MLB through the inside gaps is a nice little role for him...especially with the Dlinemen clearing things out by garnering so much attention. Sticking to this approach as part of the formula with allow him some success and build his confidence while he continues to improve physically.

We should keep in mind that Lewis is helping the Dline. He's been really sticky - hardly sees any balls thrown his way. That'll force a QB to have to go to his next read - that extra time really helps the pass rush.
This...I forgot he was even playing until the 3rd quarter.

Irving and Lawrence.
Right on...when does Irving actually become an UFA? Hopefully not at the same time Tank does but I am not clear on that. He's certainly underpaid now and will deservedly be looking to cash in!?!

Certainly helps his optics that A Brown is getting scorched routinely on the other side...I think QBs come to the line on passing downs looking for AB...he's the one they want to attack as a rule in this secondary (and our safeties down the middle).

Fitzpatrick or James would go a long way to making this secondary look great behind the front 7.
We could have had our Fitzpatrick in Eddie Jackson. He was the Tide's best secondary player before he got hurt. I really want the Cowboys to draft him. Oh, well.

Who would of thought that the D-Line would have ended up as one of the strengths of the team? They are fun to watch

This is true but our young secondary is now getting their feet underneath them and they are gaining experience every week. We are coming to the point in the season where a rookie who has been playing is no longer a rookie on the field...imo

Yeah, we drafted ballhawks that aren't afraid to stick their nose in there and tackle. A better fit for our soft zone scheme. See the ball, attack the ball. These guys will only get better and start getting picks.

Ya THINK? Thanks Dink. That's how it works with most every team. DEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP THOUGHTS........by Cal Poly Twit

Awwww, clearly your hurt feelings have carried on from the previous day and different thread.

Now I know I pushed that lil’button in your psyche; get used to it, I’m gonna be living there for a longtime.
