I’m sick of this topic . If Campbell had played it straight with all those weapons they may have won . Or kick the extra point go to OT . He gambled he lost and a half yr later they’re still whining . Go win the Lions first and only SB then puff out your chest .

I am not upset the Lions rubbed it in and tried to embarrass the Cowboys. I am more angry at the Cowboys for not responding to it. No one seemed to get riled up, or take a shot at one of the Lions. It seems like this team has no pride or fight in it.

lol.

On October 11, @CoachD created a thread he titled, "The way that I see the Lions game." In it (in foresight), I commented:

I foresee the Lions being pumped to the extreme for this game, regardless of the final outcome. This is their revenge game from last season and another steppingstone towards advancing to the postseason.

Guess Gared Goff validated my opinion. One fellow member thought my opinion would eventually be proven wrong by replying, "There [they're in] for a big disappointment"

It is hindsight and I am not 100% certain but methinks Detroit was not disappointed getting their revenge.

I'm glad it still hurts them because their poor character showed through. No whinier fan base than Detroit. Watch how they complain about every single call or no call even at Red Wings games and start chants about the refs even when they are getting the benefit of most of the calls. Like I said after the game, that was bs. It wasn't us, it was the refs and the correct ruling was made even if it hurt Campbell's boo boo feelings. What comes around goes around

They didn't though unless you think multiple people went over to talk to the refs and none of them bothered to mention the thing that multiple sources have said that they said, and would be the only reason to go over to the refs.
They had multiple guys patting their jerseys as well, which is not legal. They meant to muddy the water, and that was accomplished to their demise.

Had ridiculous tripping call against us not been called we'd have ended the game regardless. We got screwed way before they supposedly did.

As the Lions are one of my four-favorites...

Outstanding. Loved it.

The Lions have talent, coaching and personality...a combination the Cowboys haven't enjoyed in over a decade.
and niether have THEY.. Are we really comparing history here so we're in a little bit of a down cycle for the Dallas Cowboys and you want to compare them to the Detroit Lions finally over the last two seasons having any resemblance of a team that can compete for a Super Bowl they've only been to two NFC championship games in their entire existence and have not won a single one and they've never won a Super Bowl so where's that 28 years narrative where's their historically bad never been good narrative literally the Dallas Cowboys are waiting on number six and we're in a down cycle and they're waiting on #1 and you want to make a comparison that you love the lions and you're happy they beat us I mean did I come to the wrong site is this a lions forum I mean did I miss something they have done nothing, nothing to make them close, Too what we've had historically and you may not have liked the last three years but 36 wins two division titles and go into playoffs 5 in the last eight years since we are on the lions level and yeah they're finally maybe pulling away but that's it you come up with you're using this team historically, a bad historically bad team as some kind of comparison to Jerry Jones three titles you do realize that Jerry's three titles since 1989 there's only two other teams that have three or more titles since 1989 and that would be the chiefs and New England you want to use the chiefs as some kind of measuring stick, I can live with that but the lions dude get outta here, absolutely get outta here with that nonsense, it's nonsensical to even bring the lions into this comp....

We will find out over the next five years what the lions really are or really aren't, maybe they're going to be the Cincinnati Bengals who finally look like they were on the uptick and I remember people like you saying how great an organization is that to just rebuild that quick really they never won a Super Bowl.... it took them 31 years just between Super Bowl losses and people were saying how their organization you would love to have Joe Burrows and the way they were building that team and guess what happened it dropped off a Cliff what exactly have the Bengals done and now the lions are the new Bengals oh the sweetheart talked and they haven't even been to a Super Bowl yet and yet when you let time pass you'll find out who's real and who's not and right now the lions might be on an upswing but they have done nothing to even be spoke about in the same terms as the Dallas Cowboys historically and that includes Jerry Jones who was the Dallas cowboy owner has three titles compared to the other regime who only had two titles but we are waiting on number six let me remind you how special that really is because some of y'all need a reminder....

It's wild. I know it's just part and parcel of being a Cowboys fan, but imagine we go out on Sunday and blowout the 9ers (we wont). And do a bunch of trick plays, and run the score up etc. Everyone would be clowning us, pointing to the fact that we're still salty, 9ers live in our heads. Lets see you do that when they're not injury riddled etc. But when it's us.... it's the greatest / funniest thing ever. Crazy.

I just do not understand what the Lions are complaining about ....... the ref has to announce who is eligible ...... they cannot keep stuff from the Cowboys to help the Lions.

Its ridiculous.

And dumb fans from both sides cannot seem to understand that.

In other words, they circled this game before the season started. Careful, Campbell. You may be on top of the pole now, but don't get arrogant because things can change pretty quickly. That's what I always admired about Landry, Nolls, Walsh, Parcell, Belichick, and a couple of other great ones. No matter how good they were or how much they were winning, they always showed gamesmanship and never tried to embarrass their opponent. Yes, I know the old cliche, win the game if you don't wanna get embarrassed but still....
Ugh Belichick was having Brady throw hailmaries in 2007 while still up by 35 in the 4th quarter.

Do you not remember those interviews where he was questioned every game about running up the score?

What a nothing article. Jared said nothing to warrant the title of the article.

"We've put him outside before."

Think about that. They've done this against other teams. So quit crying into your panties.

Well….people may not like this but their karma hit them with Hutchinson lost for the year. Sorry it happened to him but to hell with that team. Mad at the Cowboys for a decision the refs made? I hope another 50 years of misery.

The two most disrespectful coaches I’ve sent he last twenty years are Bill and Payton. Bill use to run that score up like it was Madden.

It was disgusting, and it got Brady hurt, which lost them the 07 super bowl. Teams starting T-ing off on Brady due to this horrific sportsmanship and they injured him during the season. And then, in a completely meaningless last game, Brady reinjured himself. Which caused an already barely mobile QB to become even more of a statue.

They really went after him in 08, then, and knocked him out for the season.

What really hurt was me having to root for the Gnats in the 07 super bowl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Was that before or after Belichick was deflating balls or using his phone to record vids?
