They didn't though unless you think multiple people went over to talk to the refs and none of them bothered to mention the thing that multiple sources have said that they said, and would be the only reason to go over to the refs. They are still mad that the refs followed the rules, and refused to help the Lions trick the Cowboys. Frankly, I'm still amazed that we didn't get screwed on that play.
Can you re-word this or re-explain thisThey didn't though unless you think multiple people went over to talk to the refs and none of them bothered to mention the thing that multiple sources have said that they said, and would be the only reason to go over to the refs.
The Lions team is a bunch of idiots, if they still believe they were on the wrong side of that call last year. They tried to circumvent the spirit of the rule, and when the official called the name of the wrong player, they should have either corrected him or accepted the consequences.
In other breaking news, water is still wet.Goff actually admitted that the Lions may have done a few things to make up for last year.
And we know this so why tell us!!!!In other breaking news, water is still wet.
The Lions sent 3 lineman to the ref to confuse him, an OL staying between the ref and the guy who actually announced, another OL coming on the field and acting as though he was going to report as he had all game long. They didn't though unless you think multiple people went over to talk to the refs and none of them bothered to mention the thing that multiple sources have said that they said, and would be the only reason to go over to the refs.
Im a fan and I don't respect usJust shows the level of respect nobody has for us
Thank you! I'm glad someone understands this. Regardless of what the Lions were trying to do, the ref called out the eligible linemen numbers and that's the end of it. The Cowboys also didn't cover the C, or the G's. None of them were eligible. You don't cover ineligible receivers as they are INELIGIBLE to catch the ball. They can feel like the Cowboys screwed them or the refs screwed them or Rowdy screwed them but the fact remains the same. They screwed themselves. And it's not like that was the last play. They still ran another attempt. They could've kicked the FG to tie. It's not like that penalty ended the game. The Lions sent 3 lineman to the ref to confuse him, an OL staying between the ref and the guy who actually announced, another OL coming on the field and acting as though he was going to report as he had all game long.
The refs are required to announce any eligible receiver. When he announced the wrong #, DET knew it, the onus was on them to fix that. Except they didn't have time, their little ruse had eaten most of the playclock. DET fooled the refs as they had hoped they would, and in the confusion, thought the refs would admit the mistake was theirs and give them the TD. As undisciplined as the Cowboys' D is, they simply had no reason to cover an OL who hadn't been announced. The only reasonable call to make in the spirit of the game was the one they made, even if the ref had realized he announced the wrong #.
Jerrah keeps letting the good coaches go - Payton, Campbell. Keeps dunces like Garrett. As the Lions are one of my four-favorites...
Outstanding. Loved it.
The Lions have talent, coaching and personality...a combination the Cowboys haven't enjoyed in over a decade.
Hey hey get out of my head lol, it's to the point where it's hard to root for them to be successful, just blow it up and start back over next seasonIm a fan and I don't respect us
