LeBron James is a Cowboy Fan, Cleveland doesn't like that...

In Tuesday's Plain Dealer, columnist Phillip Morris questioned James' decision to flaunt his affinity for other teams any chance he gets.
"Does Cavaliers superstar James really hate Cleveland that much?" Morris asked. "Does the anointed one really think we're all a bunch of losers? If not, why does No. 23 go out of his way to show his disdain for professional sports teams in Cleveland that don't involve rims and orange balls?

***

Well, Mr. Morris. If ya want LeBron James to be a little more loyal to Cleveland teams, you might think about writing articles which demands the Cavaliers front office to surround him with talent that will help him win IN Cleveland.

In this case, loyalty may start with the team he's on. If that's gained, his loyalty might filter down to the other Cleveland teams. Have you ever thought of that, Mr. Morris?

Probably not.

Cowboy hater.

Lebron is the worst type of fan. How convenient to grow up as a Bulls, Yankees, and Cowboys fan in the 90s, yet has no affiliation to any of those teams.

That and a buck and a dime can get somethign on McDonald's dollar menu. It doesn't mean a thing.
It shows that he chose the Cowboys because they were the big winners when he grew up. He also like the Bulls and Yankees. He's a frontrunner, not a fan.

Beat me to it.

LeBron James is the ultimate bandwagon fan. He loves the Yankees and Cowboys.

thats not fair I grew up a bulls mariners and cowboys fan. I stuck with them during the glory and when they weren't good. IDK see how when well me and Lebron are around the same age IDC how you are raised in the 90's and don't want to be like Jordan or Emmitt and in my case Ken Griffey Jr.

I was just about to type that. He looks like a front runner to me. I hate those kind of guys.

I have no problem that he's a Cowboys fan. Let the man be a Cowboy fan.

Cleveland won't get over it since he's gonna go play for the Nets in 2 years.

Usually kids grow up fans of teams that usually won and during the 90s the Cowboys, Bulls, and Yankees were teams that won. If he said he has been a fan since he was a child. I have no problem with that. He was still a Cowboy fan when we went through 3 straight 5-11 seasons and still a Bulls fan when they sucked in the post jordan era. He's still sporting a Yankee cap knowing that his team is 10 games out of first and has no shot at making the playoffs for the first time in over a decade. I see no problem to where his allegiance lies. The same type of crap that Commander fans throw at Cowboy fans here in the DC area.

I see. So because he is not a fan of teams that YOU should think he be a fan of, he isn't a "real" fan. But a frontrunner. Answer this one for me. How do you feel about all the Cowboy fans in the DC area than? Many of them grew up around my age (25) as Cowboy fans because they won in the 90s. Are they front runner fans?

Lebron was just a kid during the Dynasty years of the early 90's, and back then everyone, and I mean everyone was a Cowboys fan it seemed like.

:hammer:

it cracks me up how after I tell people I root for the 'boys, and have been since '92, they call me a bandwagonner, I'm like dude, "don't you think that's a long time to be on the wagon?"

I guess I'm a freakin' fiend

as long as he sticks to those teams when they're bad, who cares? i don't know how that's a bad fan.

Not being a Browns fan just means he's never been much for being a sucker.

I loved the Mariners during that brief Griffey, A-Rod, Cora era. I was a Joey Cora fan from his White Sox days and I "followed" him over to the Mariners. For a brief period, that team was like a bunch of rock stars.

As far as bandwagon fans: Why are Cowboys fans considered bandwagoners, but not fans of teams like say, the Steelers? It's because the Cowboys large fanhood has stood the test of time and is, in fact, growing. We've had two dynasties in two different eras and may be embarking on a third in a third era. There are fans who became interested during the 70s era (me included), those who became interested in the 90s era and a new breed of fans who recognize something special about this current Cowboys team. You should've seen the crowds at Ford Field last year. I'm talking about people who were younger than 10 years old the last time the Cowboys won it all. And there were just as many grandmas cheering on the Boyz too. If this is a bandwagon, it is one people stay on once they jump on.

Exactly, these "You're a bandwagon fan because of" people are full of ****. I was born and raised is South Dakota so i guess i don't get to cheer for any team? The guy has picked his teams and stuck with them and it's no ones business but his. Bunch of babies in my book.

So Lebron is drawn to winners... why would cleveland hate him for that?

Oh yeah, cuz they're all a bunch of losers.
