Lebron haters are like Romo haters; no reality there at all just hate.
Cleveland was NEVER going to win a championship with the way that franchize was being run. That is why he left. Their 'performance' since then proves that. It is only lately that they seem to get it. Which is why there is a chance he might go back.

Not really, if they can unload Asik and Lin, they can clear close to enough cap room to sign him outright. They are going hard after Lebron as option A and Melo as option B. Both would be near the same max contracts. It is my understanding they already have plans in place to clear the cap room.

But the discussion, if I am understanding it, is to sign both. Not just sign one. A lot of teams can sign just 1 but not both.

Rockets about to complete step 1 of clearing the cap space. They are finalizing a deal to send Omer Asik to the Pelicans for a future 1st rounder. Jeremy Lin will be next which will free around 17 million in cap space for Lebron or Melo.

17 Million won't even match what each of these player individually opted out of. I think you need to be thinking about somewhere around 25 for each but IDK.

Not saying this is what you think, just saying I don't understand that mentality.

Why don't people give Shaq this much flak for leaving Orlando? He's just as big of an attention ***** as Lebron, only difference is in 96' ESPN, Twitter and ect weren't what they are today or didn't exist.

People did. The decision to go to L.A., for Shaq, was not popular in Orlando and with lots of fans. However, in retrospect, he did the right thing. So did James IMO. This is crazy. If you had a job, for example, where you were making 70K but you knew you would not be able to grow in the position and you got an offer for 150K with the opportunity to do work that would be ground breaking, who would fault you for leaving your job? I can think of no good reason to fault a person for legally deciding to do what is best with their life. I don't get that.

I've never understood why anyone is so damn upset over a fan pep rally.

Did you never go to a pep rally ever in high school? College? You would ignore Cowboys fan fests if they had them?

I don't care if you understand it or not, it is what it is. And this wasn't college or high school, it was the nba, it was stupid to have a pep rally at that level, and much more so just for signing free agents not for winning anything yet

Well obviously it wasn't popular in Orlando, but it's not even comparable how Lebron is treated versus Shaq. Either way, we agree on the main point

I don't know that I agree with that. The move from Orlando to L.A. was 18 years ago. Over time, the feelings have dulled but at the time, it was absolutely just as big.

I'd love to see him sign with Dallas, for no other reason than to see half the board change views of him

Bob and weave. Bob and weave.

You mean the 2010 "decision" that was created entirely to raise money for charity and eventually raised and donated over $2.5 million to various boys and girls clubs? Including $500,000 in computers and $500,000 in sporting gear? And the one that donated money to 59 clubs across the country? And the one that donated $110,000 to a club to build them a new fitness center and give them 15 new computers? And the one that donated $60,000 to repair a leaky roof of a boys club gymnasium or the one that installed new bleachers and a new floor to another club for the price tag of $70,000.

Is that the "self-serving" decision you're talking about, or is there another one I'm not thinking about?

Look, the execution of that idea sucked, but the premise behind it was created solely to raise money for charities.

If you want to hate Lebron James because you hate him, fine - that's your prerogative - but trying to project him as a bad, selfish person is coming up with points that are totally baseless and have absolutely no foundation - and the only one who can't see that here is you.

So, again, I ask - do you have any actual examples of him being selfish, or just the the same baseless ones?

Your delusional dude. He calls himself the King for Christ sakes.

.....it's a nick name.....one that I think sports illustrated came up with. If you think Lebron is a bad dude, your moral compass is a bit off.

He's got it tatooed on his body and his twitter account is KingJames. I don't think ESPN did that. And who said he was a bad dude? I didn't. I just don't like any "me first" type people.
