So young players got better

Cool. And Devin Harris and Courtney Lee started in the ****ing finals

If Brook Lopez threatens you guys you can stick your heads in the sand. But he isnt going anywhere

Devin Harris I will give you. I think he's severely underrated.

Courtney Lee would have benefitted from staying in Orlando, but Orlando traded him away for Vince Carter :ralph:

The Nets have a decent squad...if you're playing in the NBDL :)

LeBron isn't going to New Jersey. He's staying in Cleveland for less money, and they will try and trade for Chris Paul and bring in Carlos Boozer or Bosh.

I wish that was true, but the Cavs simply dont have the pieces. Even though they are having money problems, the fans will riot if they just toss away Paul for nothing.

Chris Bosh is going to Cleveland though when LeBron resigns. He wants a 6th year and that extra 30 mil and the only way to get that is a S&T. That excludes the Bulls and Heat right there since they have nothing to offer.

Why would Lebron take less money and play for a worse team than Chicago or NJ though?

They can not get Bosh or CP3 though b/c the only asset they have is JJ Hickson. After him its a bunch of JAGS and bad contracts. They can only work the MLE which is just $5.6M. Or they can rebuild but thats wasting more years of Lebrons prime. Prime years he can spend playing in the finals against Kobe w/ the Bulls or Nets.

Harris is talented but cant stay healthy. If we get LeBrosh Id rather use his $9M on like JJ Reddick/Korver at like $6M per and $3M on Leinas Kleiza.

Maybe theres something there.

Kidd, Roddy B, and $3M for CP3
and then Damps contract, $3M for Emeka Okafor

Basically you have to give them cash, assets, and take on a bad contract.

These contract, trade, and free agency discussions just make it more and more real that the NBA is going to have a lockout. This is the only sport where bad contracts are used as a bargaining chip, but the reason is why? Because they just hand out bad contracts like candy!

Pathetic!

Slate banned? lol I guess...what'd he do?

Why would Amare agree before hearing from the Nets?(and Lebron)

This means Lebron has chose Bosh as his teammate. I will bite my tongue and see if Bosh can fit in

Nobody in their right mind would play for the Nets if they had a choice. Thats why Jason Kidd signed with the Nets he could have gone anywhere several years ago. He is a freaking nutjob that lacks any intelligence outside of basketball.

Now, in two years once they move to Brooklyn. Maybe. The Knicks will still be easily the superior destination.

Personally, I think the absolute best thing he could do for himself is to go to the Knicks. He will get less money from the team contract, but make a lot more in NY than he will ever make in Cleveland with endorsements. Easily eclipsing the $30M in contract money.

I doubt he will win any championships anywhere unless he goes to the Heat with Wade and Bosh. Then he will make even less money. I'm not so sure Wade wants to play with Lebron. Wade is an attention ***** drama queen. No way he wants to play second fiddle to Lebron.

Besides, Lebron doesn't have the drive to win it all. He will need Wade for that. I don't even think Bosh has it. We all know Amare doesn't. The only reason played all 82 games last year is because it was a contract year.

That lack of drive is why Lebron will be in Kobe's and Jordan's shadow when it's all said and done. He is easily the most physically talented between he Kobe and Jordan.

I don't believe the Mavs seriously even want Paul. They should, but Cuban and his minions still believe (and have to sell) that Kidd is a great player and top point guard.

It was already said that Kidd will take a diminished roll (read minutes) next year due to his age. It was also expect that Kidd will also move to shooting guard position at times allowing the young guys (Jones and Beaubois) to gain experience at the point.
