I would be willing to bet that you could not find ONE podiatrist that would agree that $10 wally world shoes are acceptable quality.

Wearing a $5 tee is one thing. Going cheap on shoes is another. Your feet are far too valuable to abuse them with crappy shoes.

been doing this for years with those cheap tennis (do they still call them that?) shoes. No problems at all. Really, snobbery about clothing is kind of funny

Sayin a $5 tee is ok, but cheap shoes that are not good for your feet is not being snobbery.

BTW, wearing good clothes and good shoes is personal preference for sure. If you've worn cheap crap and then decent stuff you realize there is a difference. Good quality clothes not only look better, but are far more comfortable. When you have clothes that fit, hang right, and feel good you are better able to function as as a person. You just feel better and function better. The same goes for shoes. And nothing says more about you as an individual than your shoes.

Yeah, I draw the line at super cheap shoes. The cheapest I go on shoes is using 20 or 30 percent off Kohl's on $50 New Balance. Knocks it down to $35 or $40.

Have you ever been to Cleveland?

As far as a storied franchise, Miami with 3 titles is in far better shape than a Cavs team with ZERO. I dont know why posters here say the Heat fan base sux. Other than bitterness by Mavs fans and Spurs fans for losing in the Finals to the Heat there doesnt seem to be any real valid reason to say they suck. I just live in South Floirida and tbey dont appear all that different than other fans to me. If anything prob less obnoxious than most fans.

Yes, I've been to both Cleveland and Miami many times.
Have spent a lot of time inCleveland in all seasons ?
And btw, Miami has one title without LeBron, and that's what we are discussing. The more impressive title was the won before getting the collaboration team.
And yes, I did mention in a joking way that I was bitter about that one title vs the Mavs I the pre-LeBron era. Most Mavs fans think it was bad...but honestly, I was joking in that regard.

you are a romo hater as I recall. your lack of judgment is immense

and a very good reason for only signing for two years is the fact that the CBA for the NBA will be expiring. If you would let go of your hatred you would notice quite a few two year deals out there

Your clueless as usual. I support Romo 100% and always have and think he's the only reason we've been at least .500 the last 3 years. The CBA doesn't expire until the 20-21 season. It's the TV deal that's going to be new in 2 years thus increasing the salary cap. Regardless of what happens in 2 years, LeMe will have the option to leave if he doesn't like the way things are going in Cleveland. You're just a troll trying to get reactions. That's all you do here.

As a Wizards fan, this gives me all kinds of joy. That's a very young team, and if they aren't able to pull off a trade for Love, I have to like our chances against them and coming out of the East.

What do you think about the Pierce deal?

Seriously?

You actually go out in public and are seen wearing a t-shirt with a pocket?

My father goes out in public and still wears T-Shirts with a pocket. I wear them occasionally as well. What does it matter what you are wearing, so long as you are clean and within reason?

So LeMe signed a 2 year contract so he can look elsewhere and get all the attention back on him. This guy is a trip.

With an opt-out int he first year... Sources tried to rationalize it that up until the new TV deal in 2016, it benefits him economically, because he's never been paid what he's worth. Yet the estimated difference between those two years before the new deal comes in, is around 800,000 dollars.

Why can't he just announce on Twitter like Gasol did, instead of once again trying to explain why he went to Miami. The Decision 2.0 was a clean-up image for everything he was criticized for, including buying a championship and making promises he didn't keep. It will become eve more comical if the deal for Love goes through, which was the rumor before Lebron even anounced for quite some time, provided Lebron goes there. This would mean Lebron came walking into a situation he knew was getting arguably the best PF in the game, while telling us in his 'sob story' that he wants to lead a young team.

But even if this fails and the Wolves can't get him, because the Cavs don't want to trade Wiggins, the way Wiggins is playing in the D-League, it's not like Lebron was walking in to lead 'garbage'.

Who was that guy who loved the Cavs and Lebron? Don't see him post anymore. I remember he had a big melt down after he left for Miami. I'm sure he is happy now though.

I'm thinking the 2 yr deal LeMe signed put the scare in Love and others. Even though they won't publicly admit it. Fact is, LeMe can leave in 2 years.

If you're happy with a pocket tee it prob doesnt make much difference at all.

Exactly. Heck, I try not to get too hung up on things like that. If people are cool, who cares how they got there. Just matters that they are good people. JMO

FWIW most billionaires dress fairly terribly cheap and last time I saw the data the most common car they drove was a cheap American economy car.
People with money often are super frugal by nature.
The middle class that is living for higher quality of life right now are the ones who value such things.

I tend to be cheap with stuff but do buy my kids high end sports related gear/shoes because it is part of the social experience and there are 'some' competitive benefits from higher end gear.

Even one year...

I can't believe he wrote the letter though, thinking he would. That would be the height of stupidity, even worst than his original decision. My buddy thinks he has the opt-out, because he doesn't trust Dan Gilbert if he signs a long-term right up front. But the there is the TV deal in 2016, which is expected to increase the cap to 80 million or so. And also a new Collective Bargaining Agreement needs to be reached.

The reality is Lebron is the one dictating all the terms. He's in a pretty envious position.

The CBA is until 20-21 but either side can opt out after the 2016 season. I wonder what the odds of that happening are.

while there may be a tinge of truth to this, most of those clothes are made in the same factories overseas side by side with much lesser brands. yes QA may be stronger for more expensive brands but largely it is the same base product.

this is also true of electronics. you are essentially paying for name brand and support.

What do you think about the Pierce deal?

I think he's an upgrade offensively over Ariza, but a downgrade defensively. He'll really fit in this offense, because unlike his whole career, he'll be asked to primarily shoot threes the way Ariza did, but unlike Ariza, Pierce can still create his own shot. The other positive, is they'll likely want to keep Pierce at 20mpg, and that gives alot of minutes for 2013 #3 overall pick, Otto Porter (who's looking pretty good in Summer League.)

If I am Cleveland... I am pissed that he is back.

Want to come back for real? Sign long term and retire a Cav.
