I never watch basketball. I literally had never seen the guy play until a week or two ago.

I was completely shocked at his speed for his size. It's just bizarre. I'd love to see him play TE in the NFL.

He has a commercial where he day dreams about being drafted to the Browns, but yeah the whole NFL TE thing has been brought up many times and he was born in Ohio so he's kind of a local hero.

He played WR in highschool I believe and was given all-state honors, he's just a freak athlete really, he could have probably played either sport and been a star, Basketball players have a longer career though and they can still walk after it's over. :laugh2:

Lebron is the one basketball player today that I view as must see. When a Cavs game is on TV where I can watch it I do tune in just to see him play. It's about the only time I watch an NBA anymore, and has been since MJ retired, though I did watch that outstanding series between the Bulls and Celtics this year. That was some high quality, fun, and entertaining basketball.

Great player, but I hate Cavs fans with a passion though. They think the NBA started 6 years ago. 99.99999999% of his fans are bandwagon POS. I hope he leaves Cleveland, so I don't have to look at hose ugly #23 uni's around town anymore.

I can't wait for him to get into some sort of legal trouble. The media will tear him down just as fast as they have built him up.

btw, does anyone know if he's still trying to get out of Cleveland and go to New Yoik?

And NBA players get paid a lot more than NFL players.

just wait until he develops a jump shot, ...SCARY!

And also when he learns to post up and work with his back to the basket.

He still may not win a championship because that is a difficult task and is still very much a team achievement. Kareem needed other great players around him to win it all. So did Magic and Bird and Jordan and whomever else. Still to me Lebron has proven to be a great player. I would like to see him get a ring and then continue to improve his game.

My wife just gushes and gushes about him. It's sickening sometimes!

His abilities are just stupid. That half court shot last night, or the way he exploded down the court for the fast break last night then kicked it back for the assist.

He makes NBA All-Star players look like red shirt freshman high school players sometimes.

Jordon better be looking over his shoulder. :laugh2:

If anyone can take down the Lakers this year, it's the Cavs.

I think so, too, but I won't pencil in the Cavs as the champs yet. There are still too many games left to be played. An injury could come along and derail the Cavs. I am rooting for Lebron.

i remember the hype to, it was ridiculous!

i dont think he will leave cleveland, but you never know. he wouldnt make as much money contract wise in new york as he would if he stayed with cleveland, but man those indorsements would be HUGE!

true true. my only concern with him is that he might hit that 1000 game mark early in his career and start an early decline. there have been shots of him with lots of ice packs on his knees after games so hopefully he is taking care of himself as much as possible
