Let’s talk Troy Aikman

Perhaps he should flash his 3 rings......some objectivity hurts.

Every time aikman announces for one of our games, I laugh uncontrollably.

The man hates Dallas so much, yet he was our guy in the 90’s.

I mean seriously, every time Dallas got a first down or made a good play I would hear, “that was nice, but…” or “and you see here, I mean it was a great throw but the timing was awful”

Kind of a laughing stock if you ask me. Stephen A Smith likes us more than Aikman! I understand him being less than happy about how it all ended with Johnson, and their downfall etc, but come on.

What do you think his issue is?
Since the Buck-Aikman duo move from FOX to ESPN last season, the number of Cowboys games they're assigned to cover has been drastically reduced.
2022-23 season- only two games__week 3 @ Giants, wildcard game @ Buccaneers.
2023-24 season- only two games__last night @ Chargers, week 17 @ Lions Saturday Dec. 30th.

There's always two alternatives to turn to if the pair's coverage of Cowboys games is not to your liking:
1) the flagship radio station for Cowboys games.. KRLD FM 105.3 (or the affiliate stations across Texas and bordering states that air KRLD's coverage)
2) Westwood One Sports Radio nationwide MNF - Kevin Harlan and Kurt Warner (look up the local station in your area that airs Westwood One's coverage)

Sounds like he’s modeling his announcing on FanZone posts by pseudo fans.

Answer: Troy Aikman is a highly competent, 20+ year National League Football color commentator, whose knowledge and insight derive from a relatively long successful college and professional football career, and is not a junior high cheerleader.
Wow! 20 years?! Gosh, I'm old.

My irritation was how he (Aikman) said a number of times throughout the game that even though Parsons wasn't getting sacks he was being disruptive, occupying blockers and putting pressure on Herbert. Then, during the Charger's last possession, he said the Chargers had neutralized Parsons and that Parsons had very little impact on the game.

I was gratified when the very next play Parsons leveled Hebert for a sack.

I told Aikman about it through my TV screen too.

I think he goes out of his way to be objective when covering us however last night he was noticeably more negative.

He can't say what he thinks, it will hurt people's feelings. Big mike and the other guy's feelings.

He sounded frustrated with the offense and Dak at some points......he paused for a long time at one point and said frustratingly "IDK".....Im glad hes not a homer licking B***.

I've long since thought Aikman gives off a vibe of wanting Dallas to fail so he will eternally be the man that last won it all for them.

I think he loves Dallas so much he’s in pain watching Dak refusing to fire it into wide open receivers.

Troy Aikman loves the team and cannot stand what Jerry and his group of yes men have done to it.

He has earned the right to say whatever he wants.
He earned it with three super bowls causing him lifelong back pain and multiple concussions.

Maybe it’s just the reality of the situation?
