Except while on spring break!Stephen Jones knows acquiring "talent" is a "24 hours a day, 365 days a year" job.

Oh, there is some reasonable in the mix also.Stephen has one of the toughest jobs in serving the Cowboys as his daddy's executive vice president. It requires him to support an old fool who has a proven record as a horrible General Manager. Supporting a known alcoholic with dementia is an impossible task from the start.
He's also far from proving himself as a capable manager of the team's finances. Specializing in signing third-tier veteran free agents for peanuts will never be a good way to manage the teams' talent quests. Good talents being offered far less than other teams can't work, either. It's just hopeless.
jerry thought you said "horribly"We need to evaluate players “holistically”
One could call him a dei hire.By now Cowboys fans are probably well aware of Stephen Jones using “air quotes” multiple times yesterday when describing our “playoff drought“ in his words using the double finger air quotes sign. As if this team winning 4 wild card playoff games in three decades was not factual but just some “overused media stunt”.
His arrogance and hubris is mind numbing. Which leads me to using some humor right back at the nepotism poster boy himself. Here are some “air quotes” that might best describe “Li’l Stevie”:
What else? What are some “air quotes” you would like to send SJ? If only we could send them to him personally,
- Stephen Jones is a “winner”.
- Stephen Jones “earned” his spot as an NFL executive.
- Stephen Jones is an “expert” at managing the salary cap.
- Stephen Jones is ”qualified for his job”.
- Stephen Jones exemplifies ”merit based accomplishments.”
- Stephen Jones would be “sought after” by other NFL teams if he weren’t in Dallas.
bill Parcells is so touchy. She is now 83 and less touchy now that she's irrelevant.I have been searching for this article forever and I can't find it.
It described a confrontation between Stephen and Bill Parcells.
Parcells had always considered the lockerroom his domain. He gave instructions that he should never be interrupted when "communicating" with the team during halftime of a game.
When Stephen entered the Lockeroom one halftime, Parcells demanded that he leave. Stephen refused, citing that he had the right to go anywhere he pleased. Parcells was livid. Long before the arrival of TO, I think Parcells realized that he could not build the desired chemistry for a SB team under someone like Stephen Jones.
I remember this, but I understand the doubt until I actually locate the article.
prepping them for their advance placement tests. He was just giving these "nice" girls a "ride" on his "business" bus.
He turned four different losing teams into playoff teams. He earned the right to do things his way despite the whining of a few former players about his style.bill Parcells is so touchy. She is now 83 and less touchy now that she's irrelevant.
It’s good to be the king. Or Jerry Jones’s son.He was just giving these "nice" girls a "ride" on his "business" bus.
The fact remains she is still irrelevant. He turned four different losing teams into playoff teams. He earned the right to do things his way despite the whining of a few former players about his style.
Don't argue with the insane board posters. He turned four different losing teams into playoff teams. He earned the right to do things his way despite the whining of a few former players about his style.
I suppose, but only if you consider a Hall of Fame, 2-time SB champion, 15th all-time winning, one of a very few that took two different teams to a Super Bowl head coach.......to be irrelevant. The fact remains she is still irrelevant.
Poems shall be written; songs will be sung..........I suppose, but only if you consider a Hall of Fame, 2-time SB champion, 15th all-time winning, one of a very few that took two different teams to a Super Bowl head coach.......to be irrelevant.
History disagrees with you, sir.
His name will echo through the annals of football history forever.
Poems shall be written; songs will be sung..........
