Let's be honest. Lance's play is better for Dak's contract demands than anything Dak could have done

Lamb is the #2 WR in the NFL and got paid accordingly. Dak wants to get paid like he is the #1 QB in the NFL and is arguably 10-12 in almost any QB comparison you read/watch. If he wants to stay in Dallas his salary will slot here, if he is only about the money then he will test FA after the season and likely get what he wants. It's really not that difficult, and no knock on him.

Trey's play if anything hurts Dak's chances as Jerry saw enough to continue his development and let it ride this season to see where he lands. Worst case go get a Vet QB and draft one next year. Trey was never and will never be a threat to Dak's time in Dallas. Trey is here in case Dak walks
what stat is Lamb ranked #2 in at WR that you could look at last years stats and say Dak is ranked 10-12....make that make sense please...
"Lamb is #2 baased on last years stats"
"Dak is ranked 10-12 based on last years stats"
How does this work?

"Dak fans think the flyer they took on Lance somehow will magically make Jerry want to make the loser Dak the highest paid player ever." he types angrily, as he replies to his 18th thread of the day about the NFL quarterback who makes millions of dollars a year at the top of his craft that he disdains for not signing his helmet at training camp in 2017. After taking another deep drawl from his sippy cup, Mountaineer Cowboy begins to double down on his hatred of Dak while doing damage control on his Trey Lance predictions after a horrid preseason showing. Terrified that Dak will be signed and his entire self-worth that is based on his prediction of this being Dak's last season on an anonymous profile on a Cowboys message board will be non-existent, Mountaineer anxiously buttons up his McDonald's polo as he prepares to catch his bus to work. After arguing with his mother about how a forty year old who lives with his parents should at least pay some rent, Mountaineer reminds her that he would be working on Wall Street if not for that loser Dak Prescott!

Obviously we don't know for certain what the Cowboys' real plan for Lance was in terms of their future. My take has always been they were hoping to catch lightning in a bottle a third time getting a franchise QB for next to nothing. Lance showed some things in this preseason but IMHO the thing he showed most was that he aint an NFL ready QB and that the Cowboys best chance of winning games this season is with Dak Prescott. Now as for what they thought of his performance in the context of beyond this year I can't say. But he would have had to have seriously lit it up this preseason for the Cowboys to have even seen him as a possible 2025 starter, let alone 2024.
Annnnddddd….. Ronnie the Dak jock slurper is back folks

Do not confuse him with a Cowboys fan
He will be gone once Dakota leaves

It is hilarious that CD had all this success despite of Dak. Can you imagine? Maybe CD could have been the first WR with 200 receptions.

But it's Jerry. He might have his mind made up already...like a week ago.

Not at all. Lance is 24 years old, he can de developed.

Prescott is 31 and has hit his ceiling.

If Dallas played their cards right they would wait till the end of the year to decide anything on Prescott. Let Dallas win or lose, and let the chips fall where they may.

If Dallas wins you resign Prescott, . If Dallas doesn't win you resign Lance or Rush, or both.

After the QB position has been addressed you then concentrate on Parsons.

Please explain how Trance gets developed?

It is year 4. What has been his progress so far over the last 4 years? Or even since he left SF?

Facts are facts
He appears when Dak needs to be paid or plays well
Disappears when Dak plays poorly
He is just a Dak shill
Whether its facts or not you called the guy a jock slurper. Another man at that. All because he's pro Dak is crazy.

You feel the same way about people who disappear when Dak plays well? @MountaineerCowboy was gone for 2 months when Dak was playing well...prior to that he was betting accounts and all that about how he'd never be a All Pro lol.

More athletic than Dak, faster than Dak, Stronger arm than Dak, more upside than Dak as we have seen Daks best and it’s been 8-9 years now, much much younger than Dak, much much much cheaper than Dak. Needs seasoning but the raw athletic skills are off the charts!

Again you guys seem to not understand the trade for Lance. The Cowboys for the last few years wanted a talented raw quarterback that they could develop behind Dak. When they found out they could get Lance for a 4th round pick they jumped at the chance. Lance has nothing to do with Dak. If you watch the practices you see that Dak and Lance appear to be close. The Cowboys didn’t draft Dak to replace Romo but Dak got an opportunity and ran with it. I am steal not sure if Dak had a long term injury, the Cowboys are going to just run out Cooper Rush.

Dak wants to finish his career in Dallas and the Cowboys want him to resign. The issue is Dak’s agent and the NFL players Union. It’s being pushed that Dak becomes the first $60 million dollar quarterback. To be honest it is really out of Dak’s hands. If Dak settles for 58 million a season, I think a deal gets done before season.

Lambs signing is more the omen

It just means Dak's signing was gonna happen all along. It's what Jerry does, since 1993 with Emmett.
Not quite. Haley had to get in Jerry's face after an 0-2 start. Plus, Emmitt wasn't holding out. He didn't have a contract at the time. Jerry very nearly derailed the dynasty in 1993 with this stupidity. He finally succeeded in derailing it the following season when he fired Jimmy.

Specifics

Cowboys always sign their guys late. First Dak contract, Zeke, Lamb, Emmitt.

Dak is getting resigned.

Im not a Dak fan or “hater”
I don’t believe Lance is the future
If i believed Dak could lead us to a SB id be all for signing him to 60 million but 8 years have shown us hes not

I want to reset the table with someone new even if it means struggling in the short run

Im not a fan of a player, im a fan of the Cowboys and i call out whoever i think has a different agenda
