My god you only beat the Colts, using the Giants as a measurement to how "good" you are holds no water. I mean with that same argument I could say we've beaten the Falcons twice and they have the EXACT SAME RECORD AS THE GIANTS!!! Then I could also say that we're better because we beat the Eagles whom you've already lost to.

This is why you play the games, I mean look at what happened between the Colts and Titans for Christ sake. These arguments stating who we've beaten and who you've beaten really are pointless.

Regardless it will be a good game, yes injuries suck but oh well. The good teams are those that can still win without key players. Which is why the Saints will dominate on Sunday night

Colston will not play and Horn is out as well. Hollis Thomas is out but Will Smith will play. I think Horn and colston is huge for the saints and will need them down the stretch if they want to make the playoffs. Remember they have a 2 game lead over the panther and falcons. And if they lose to the cowboys then that lead is down to one ( provide both team win against the giants and bucs) and the saints still have to play the panthers their last game. So this race is not over and the saints are not guaranteed anything. A lost shakes their season up!

Saturday morning paper out of New Orleans has WR Colston and DE Smith both as game day decisions. Horn looks like he's out but Henderson is an adaquate backup. He always seems to show up in big games and is considered a gamer.

Dallas should win this game based on having the better defense although the teams seem pretty evenly matched on offense. Being a Saints fan, I look for the refs to throw the big game to Dallas if it's close. Before you flame me for saying this, look at our sorry past. It includes hundreds of references of refs seeing magical things that only the see and Monday morning appologies from the league for wrong calls. Life sucks in a small market town.

After reviewing the saints more or less final injury reports I have come to a conclusion I am not particularly happy with.

This game will be more a referendum on whether the cowboys are for real than the saints. If the saints lose away in dallas, missing their 2 best defensive players, and 2 best receivers I dont think it really has much bearing on how we will fare in the post-season (aside from the seeding.)
The cowboys on the otherhand...if they lose to the saints at home completely healthy with the saints so shorthanded on both sides of the ball wouldnt thay say something about how they might fare against other top teams in the playoffs?

This is not a troll post and ive posted the same thing in the saints forums (and was flamed there for not predicting a saints W)

Sounds like somebody is scared and already has excuses lined up. Hey injuries are part of the game, we lost our defensive captain and best presurre guy in Ellis, but you dont hear us complaining.

The only reason i mention this is because there seems to be a double standard regarding our respective schedules. If our wins vs. 6-6 teams mean nothing (even if we had a part in creating their 6-6 record) then so does everyones.

We beat an undefeated team on a national stage. The Giants have been depleated by injuries and stuggling lately but look at the schedule they have played. We beat a Giants team that was only missing 1 player and we did it in NY. Giants beat the Falcons nuff said.

It is true we lost to the Eagles but there was a QB change. If it is pointless why did you bring it up?

The refs are hardly in our pocket, we have been getting screwed over this year. I am talking about TDs getting called back, bogus PI calls, first downs called back. We have been one of the most penalized teams in the NFL this year.

Exactly.

Thats why you don't see people defending the '00 and '01 Cowboys who led the league, and I believe set an NFL record one of those years, for most player-games lost to injury.

horns injury isnt chronic, which is why he was still questionable for most of the week. thomas will be back for the playoffs, wed have to lose nearly every game to not make a wildcard spot.

Sorry bud, but that groin injury ain't going anywhere this year. Get used to having Horn "Questionable" or "Out" just like he has been for much of this year already.

I'm not wishing you bad luck or anything, I'd rather have the Saints in the playoffs than out, just saying that now is a really bad time to have key players suspended or injured... two losses and you're right back in the pack fighting for a spot(just like us) and none of your remaining games are gimmees:

Uh, yes it is considering the circumstances/timing of the particular game.

We win we take a 2 game lead in the division as opposed to being in 2nd place due to tiebreakers (having been swept by them if we lost) and then being jumbled in with all the other wild card wannabe's and having our confidence jacked up because we cant win a tough divisional game on the road in December. Against a talented team that had their backs against the wall. Winning the division at that point would've been decidedly uphill and not within our own control.

For me to worry about what THIS game says if we should lose means I should also worry about what it says if we lose any of the rest of the games this year. Not only the regular season ones against teams we'll be favored against in every case, but even Playoff games as of now since so many people think we're the "best" team in the NFC at the moment.

Well guess what, whether it's this particular game or a game down the road it wouldnt surprise me if we lost because I'm not really expecting to run the table in the first place.

So if you guys win.. good for you. But it wont sting me nearly as bad as had we dropped our game last week.
