We had a hard fought game, our new QB kept fighting and won the game, and what are people posting? Romo vs Bledsoe threads :bang2: Talk about a real downer after a huge win.

Bledsoe had a long and relatively successful career. We got him at the end of it and he did some good things for us (the first stability we had in the position since Aikman) and some not good things. However degrading him now serves no purpose.

We all know that the move to Romo was the right move and the team is doing far better with Romo. So let's stop slamming the guy. Nothing can be gained except a lack of respect for what he has accomplished over the years

Agree. Bledsoe's best years behind him and Romo obviously the man. Any further comparison is unnecessary.

I'm also tired of postings claiming MBIII should be our starter instead of JJ. Love III's play & like our tendem duo but JJ isn't living up to his side of this deal any more. Want see us draft/sign FA RB as our 3rd RB cause I'm not sure Thompson will be kept unless he really shows something in TC. If Austin or Green can do returns for us, I think we look for a RB who brings more to the table then JJ has in several games UNLESS he simply is wearing down & physically can't perform a whole season.

Great post.

It's like Bledsoe kicked some people's dogs and slept with their girlfriends. I don't understand the need to keep on kicking.

Good Post!! I have never understood why a sect of posters here insist on bashing Drew Bledsoe as if he has personally done something to them.

The fact is he lead this team to a 9-7 record in 2005 and we fell one game short of making the playoffs. Yes, it's a team game and everyone here KNOWS we lost 2 or 3 games because of our lousy kickers last year.

That being said, Drew gave nothing but his best effort here and evidence of that by his own team mates voting him team Captain.

That means you have RESPECT of your team mates in the locker room.

That says volumes of his leadership and effort.

IF you want to say we fell short with Drew leading the offense then fine, That is a fact. However, to attack him personally or disrespect his effort is mis-guided and unfair.

I respect Drew Bledsoe both on the field and I can proudly say off the field as well.

I correctly predicted a LONG time ago on the OLD Zone board that Drew Bledsoe would one day be a Dallas Cowboy.

Well, I was right and despite his short tenure here I can honestly say that I am glad he came to Dallas. He gave the team it's best QB play in many years prior to his arrival and If an injury were to happen to Romo in this post-season run then Bledsoe will be ready to step in and lead this team again.

I wish Drew the best professionally and personally.

People want to feel like they were the ones telling Bill all along to start Romo.

What Bledsoe vs. Romo topics?

This thread is one of the only ones I see.

Bledsoe is basically an afterthought anymore.

Perhaps we havent heard the last from Drew Bledsoe. Lot of action remaining...Five or more (hopefully) games left to go. Bill reminded his media crew week before last that Bledsoe's there in a pinch if he needs him, not that anyone wants to see a pinch, mind you.

It's a mystery as to why some are so offended by some topics and then fire off a thread about why there is no need for such a topic. Then the thread grows about why we don't need such topics. The result, lots of sanctimonious posts and threads as to why we don't need a Bledsoe vs. Romo threat (I only saw ones that made it clear we are happy with Romo. Why are we happy with Romo? Well, gentlemen, because Romo is SUCH AN IMPROVEMENT.)

Well, time is fleeting. This thread complaining about a thread supposedly pitting Bledsoe vs. Romo is, too, a downer.

Moderators! Remove this thread!!!!:laugh2:
