The problem with Jerry's flying monkeys is that they only hear the criticisms. I could repeat ad nauseam that Jerry is a great owner (he is) and a savvy businessman (he is) but it matters not. If I gave Jerry 51% of the credit for the glory days, the stooges would wonder why I didn't give him 52. The fix is in: Jerry can never lose. The last ten years? Aberration! Mild slump! Identifying Jerry as a woeful GM and impediment to success is not "hate." It's league-wide conventional wisdom. He didn't earn the job; he was self-appointed. He's an oilman, not a football guy. The last straw is when he told Dale he could get hired as a GM by other teams. Even the sheep had to roll their eyes at that whopper. In short, his grasp on reality is tenuous at best. As a Yankee fan, I know what it's like to have a team held hostage by an egomaniacal buffoon. Tragically, my other favorite team has fallen prey to that disease.
