I like Marshall, as a player, but he seems to have a lot of baggage that comes with him. He's been in trouble, suspended, gotten hurt in the offseasons horsing around, doesn't get along with his teammates well.

He's a playmaker, for sure, but I think I'll pass on this guy. This team just seems to have cleared out all the bad air, of all their piss poor attitude guys, and I'd really rather they don't mess that up by replacing them with a new one.

How many teams can you guys even list that have won championships that had a ridiculously talented core of wide receivers? The answer is not many. My arguement here is NOT that you can win without any good wide receivers, we have a good WR in Roy Williams. My arguement is that it does not require having multiple studs (acquiring Bmarsh) at WR to win a championship. People are always looking for a way to improve our WRs, the reality is they are good enough for us to win it all and history has proven it.

Patriots and Colts for starters....uh, next question? LOL How about the Cowboys and 49ers? How about the old Steelers? Even the new Steelers had 3 pretty good ones in Ward, Holmes, and Washington.

LOL. Seriously, not one person said you need "a ridiculously talented core of recievers".

For my take, Marshall is one of my favoirte WRs to watch, but if our current unit can stay healthy (HUGE IF) then I'm willing to go to with them.

Hmmm...that's funny...I don't recall the Patriots winning any superbowls with ridiculously talented recievers.

I seem to recall them winning with some JAGs named Troy Brown, ?, Triple ???, and some guy that then went to Seattle and has never been able to stay healthy.

When they got Moss, Welker, and Stalworth what did they do again? Oh yeah, they didn't win the Superbowl. In fact with all that WR talent they scored a grand total of 14 points in the Superbowl.

The Cowboys of the 90's had one ridiculously talented reciever and a complement to him, evidenced by the fact that when Alvin Harper, the guy who thought he should be the #1 option, left Dallas he was an absolute nobody.

Steelers of the 70's, yeah I'll grant you that. They had two top notch guys, without a doubt.

Steelers of today? I laugh at that because prior to the Superbowl half the fans who suddenly think Holmes is so great didn't even know he played for the Steelers.

The Colts, nope can't argue that one. They definately got it done.

oops my bad. They just went 18-0 before losing a fluke to NYG...but you are correct on that one. The previous Pats did win without any real star recievers.

Anyway, I'm not even one who thinks you have to have absolute elite WRs to win it. I do think it helps though.

Never hurts to have talent, that is for sure. I don't deny that at all.

I think of Witten as ROBO-COP.
They tear his head off and he still makes yardage.
Protects the ball and gets the first downs.
