Boy, you REALLY have a thing for jerks, don't you, JVita?? If there's a sociopath or troublemaker in the NFL, you're sure to be a fan of him...

Perhaps you should become a Raiders fan, you'd fit right in with that crowd...

I'd love to get TO back also.

And you like PacMan, and you stuck up for Vick...

Are you seeing a pattern here??

Football is played ON THE FIELD. Results dont lie.

And what exactly have Marshall, PacMan or Vick ever won??

Jeez. The people in Denver are just dying to suck.

Hey, hoof, where did you find the cool avatar of Carlin during his "hippy dippy weatherman" days??

"The forecast for tonight is dark... continued mostly dark through the nightime hours, followed by widely scattered light at dawn"

Wonderful WINO... :D

yeah and lets act like you know anything.
Sure coming from behind-with the other sides pass rush coming against an offensive line that was mediocre at best. With a poor coaching staff and an atmosphere of defeat that usually started just before the national anthem.
Then last year I hold nothing against any other WR with the mess that was going on there and Garret screwing up. Not tomention injury to Romo...
and jee- Roy was injured too.

Marshall is widely regarded as having a lot of potential. Only casual knowledge people like yourself regardhim as one of the next great WRs.
Right now more scouts and coaches would pick Roy vs Marshall if given the choice- but then they KNOW SOMETHING about football.

What the hell??? DUDE get real. Nobody with half a brain cell would take Roy williams over Marshall. That's like saying You would take odom over Kobe.

I can't wait for the regular season to begin. Ultra concern/fear of the wide receiver position will kill somebody well-before week one if this keeps up.

wide receiver is the most overrated position in the nfl.

Not true.

A WR (Santonio Holmes) was the MVP of the Superbowl last season.

The Cardinals got to the Superbowl with the Fitzy/Boldin/Breston combo. Not to mention they had no running game. They could of won it but the "D" let them down.

The WR position is not overrated.

Watch out for the Patriots WR's, they got better at that position too.

I agree WR is not overrated when you have an oline... Oline picking up blitzes beat 1 on 1 coverage anyday.

Quick when the Patriots one three SuperBowls who was their stud wr ?

Oh and what happen when they had a stud wr in the Super Bowl ?

Besides the fact that their quarterback was playing with a high ankle sprain from the AFC Championship?

I've rewatched both the week 17 match-up between the Vagiants and NE and the Super Bowl as well. It doesn't take long at all to see Brady was very limited in mobility and wasn't able to throw with the same accuracy and velocity as he did in week 17.

If you think Holmes winning the superbowl MVP refutes the fact that the WR position is overrated you would be incorrect. Are WRs capable of having big games? Of course, the fact that Holmes won the SB MVP, a WR who is not even considered a superstar really just proves my point and not yours.

Your arguement about the cardinals going to the superbowl is much closer to being a valid point than your Holmes arguement. My rebuttal to that is the fact that the Cardinals, outside of last year, have been NOTHING. They have had the Fitz and Boldin combo now for several years and have done squat. The reality is, over the history of the NFL many more teams without stud WRs have been successful more often than teams with stud WRs. I would be willing to bet that if I asked 100 people off the streets who follow the NFL who the best team in the NFC is right now, less than 15% would say the AZ Cardinals.

yet Holmes had a mediocre season and was just a cog on Pitts team he just stepped up in the SuperBowl and made some plays. Holmes was not the #1 WR all season for Pittsburgh he just had a great game for Pitt in the Superbowl.

Much like Branch who had a whopping 35 Catches coming into the Superbowl and went 10-145 and a TD for new England

Now the next year in 2005 he hit the 78 catch mark and went 11 for 133 and 0 TD's for a SB MVP he has not come close to that 78 catch season before or after that season the closet was 57

So some of the best WR performance in a Superbowl was by a good WR not a great #1 wr

They would?

I'd like to see the evidence of this.

Marshall is nearly universally regarded as a top 10 WR in the league. Roy Williams is fortunate if he makes the top 20.

Don't take my word for it. Do a little research.

And yet, Marshall is seen leaving Denver with his belongings in a box.

Salary cap ramifications aside, you don't think Bowlen would take a call from Jerry Jones re: a WR swap straight-up if Jerry had any inclination to make it?

I'll go out on a limb, way out on a limb, and say that Myles Austin is a bigger impact player in two years than Brandon Marshall will be. And not necessarily because Myles Austin is going to be all that great a player.

Brandon Marshall is a much better receiver than Terrell Owens is right now. Better route runner, better hands, and had a very poor running game to help him out.

You're ****ing high if you think other wise.

He has surpassed Owens IMO.

But he's a risk off the field with his anger issues.

Total speculation, but he sounds like he's taking something that alters his mood and makes him aggressive, which is more than an anger issue.

Doesn't he also have dependency problems? What was the dustup two seasons ago when Cutler got frustrated with him publicly?

Not only is he a huge risk factor off the field but i'm quite sure they won't be giving him away. Risk + pick/picks + $ = NO

That's because they finally have a QB (Warner) that knew how to get them the ball at the right spots to make plays.

All I'm saying is that you can't sell the WR position short.
