Lesson I learned is Philly is a better team now.
But I really don’t think by that much.
IF Dak comes back and balls like he’s capable of and not his brain dead play like last few games...this team may surprise people.
Lotsa pressure on the vatto. Come on dude...earn yo money and the haters will fade....
The haters simply need to grow up. Support or go follow another team. That's what they need to do. We all don't like Dak being overpaid, but real fans support.

good moral victory, eh ?
Cooper Rush was the QB. Luck runs out eventually. The funny thing is so many people wanted to keep Rush as a starter and lean on the defense for the rest of the season. Not happening. You have to be able to consistently put up points. Can't play perfect football every week.

People ready to run Zeke off. We need both of those guys.

I like that Philly showed us now their best plan to neutralize Micah. Yes it was smart and it worked today. I'd rather it happen now in WEEK 7 than later in the season and/or playoffs. Plenty of time to go to drawing board for a effective counter.
This easily could have been countered by having more speed at LB. Jabril Cox is healthy, but stubborn Dan Quinn prefers to play old and slower Anthony Barr. Big mistake that keeps getting exposed due to Quinn's stubborness.

Hardly a game to lose faith . Next up Detroit and Chicago at home followed by a a bye week . So 6-2 heading into road games in GB & Minn . I see a 4 game win streak sitting at 8-2 going into Thanksgiving against a Giants team you’ve beaten on the road .

Starting to look a lot like last yrs 12-5 team battling the Eagles for the East except this yr the defense is better .

Let's really break down what Dak has done lately against good teams.

vs. Bucs 3 points
vs. 49ers 17 points (home game playoffs)
vs. Chiefs 9 points (defense only gave up 19 to Pat Mahomes)
vs. Broncos 16 points (bad example, because they weren't a good team they were 7-10, we lost)

His best wins last year were against several 9-8 teams which isn't bad but not great, barely above average teams and could not beat a team with 10 or more wins. He did put up 29 against the Bucs in a loss last year and 33 against the Raiders in a loss, those were on the defense not him.

So you can say that's nitpicking.

Yet Dak is 18-19 over his last 37 starts, and a good amount of those wins were against the East which was bad, those days are over the east is a BEAST.

Dak is better than Rush, but he is not a savior and I have high doubts he can win us a Super Bowl even with this defense.

I'd be more than happy to be proved wrong, I'd shout it from the rooftops I was wrong.

But remember before Amari and after Dez he struggled. What's he going to do now? Last time we saw him he scored 3 points. He gets the starting job back sure, but he has to play well against good teams, the best teams, or eventually we should draft another QB.

I live in Lubbock, Texas where Texas Tech plays (yep, Patrick Mahomes college). I have seen for decades them put up ungodly numbers on offense against bad teams and then not do well against good teams. It isn't impressive to me. You have to do it against the best teams.

You didn't read what I said, I said he's better than Rush and should get the starting job back, but he has to prove he's the long term solution by beating good teams. That is all.

37 starts is 2 seasons and not a small sample size.

Rush did some good things when they finally let the guy open it up a little bit. But he just doesnt have the arm to attack certain parts of the field.

Little too slow on those out routes. Love the guy though.

I actually got some respect for Cowboys tonight. That defense never game up. Dumb call by MM to go for it at the 30, but whatever.
McCarthy tries to pull a rabbit out of his hat when he thinks the other team is playing better than us.

Lessons learned? Hardly. When you fall behind, have turnovers and penalties on the road, you are almost never going to win. Give the Cowboys credit for making a game of it in the early 4th quarter. But give Philly credit for going back to the run game and going back up. They ate us alive with the 3rd and 1 QB sneaks over and over.

Remind me what Dak did vs these very same Hurts and Sirianni led Eagles last season again.

Pick any of the 2 games.

Solid post, to be fair.

The second half was fun to watch from a run game perspective. Zeke and Pollard played off each other really well.

And I respect that you acknowledged Rush playing decent in the second half and not giving up after the atrocious first half.

That being said, I think 4-2 is insanely good considering everything that’s happened. And with Dak coming back, the season is still fully ahead of us
I'm not worried. We're 4-2 and we've been hit hard by the injury bug and we've managed to stay competitive. If the Eagles lost Lane for the season in the preseason and Hurts broke his thumb the first game then they wouldn't be 6-0. We've weathered the injury bug storm well and we're getting healthy. I'm not a big fan of Dak but he is better than Rush and the offense will improve under him. I think another poster stated we were not going to go 16-1 and that's very true. I'd rather lose games to good teams while being wounded then being at full strength and lay an egg against bad teams like the Bears or Lions. The Eagles are peaking right now and I'm not too worried about them over the long haul. Hurts is not a great throwing QB, he's a good athlete but he did not impress me tonight.

The first half of the game is what I expected out of this team since week 1. I expected horrible QB play, bad coaching errors and a defense grasping for anything. So to come out of this being 4-2 with all the bad luck we've had is really good. Rush kept us afloat. Now we get to see what Dak can do with a top defense, hot running backs and good offensive line. I'm thinking Dak gets us 10+ points more a game and with this defense and running game we'll be tough to beat.
