Yeah the refs sucked but so did the Cowboys
You're right about that.

Can you believe they missed that hold on Witten on the first TD (the one Aikman and Buck were joking about)... and the other hold on Griffin a little later that they were actually laughing about ... or that they CALLED that ridiculous personal foul on Sean Taylor for hitting Romo just below the waist but was called for going for the knees?

I hate sucky refs.

153 penalty yards to 41?

That 15 yard facemask at the end?

Sorry, but the refs were a BIG part of why we lost today. PERIOD.

Rack, I said they were.

But we played a LOUSY game. Plain and simple.

And they were missing Moss.

If you're a playoff team, you win these games.

Wrong.

This game was ridiculous on so many levels we'll be talking about it for YEARS. There were called AND uncalled penalties both ways that had huge impacts on the game. Both teams played great at times, and awful at others. Both teams deserved to win, and both teams deserved to lose.

The notion that either team "handed" the other anything is preposterous. You sure you're a Commanders fan?

come on OM. They moved the ball all over us. Our defense looked poor most the game, our offense looked inept for a lot of the game, and couldnt take advantage of the good field position that ARE gave us.

They had an unimaginable ammount of penalties, and a dropped pass that doesnt happen very often.

if thats not giving the game away, i dont know what is

(funny how you of all people are calling me out for being a skins fan  )

In this rivalry, I'll take a win any way we can get it

See you guys next year, it was a fun nerve racking one today

And a perfect football weekend for me

This was an awful football weekend for me.

My son's football team gets beat in the second round of the playoffs 14-12 and now the Cowboys lose a close one, 22-19.

Congratulations, Skins fan. I won't be a sore loser.

I agree Juke, we are an average team, and I don't know what Parcells does during the week to prepare this team but it sucks. No emotion, no heart. Parcells has some more stupid calls. Though it is not the end of the world and the whole doens't suck but, I don't think we make the playoffs again with Parcells as the head coach. JMO

Do you really think the performance we saw today was because Parcells "failed" to motivate them? That is ridiculous. What exactly do you suggest he should do? I'll wait for those ideas.

The players lost this game pure and simple. You want scapegoats...how about TO and Henry? They fit the description a lot better than Parcells.

Blame the refs?

The Commanders were missing their best player, Santana Moss.

We didn't get enough of a pass rush.

We played undisciplined football...and made stupid play after stupid penalty after stupid play.

We came out flat, again.

Had a safety on a running play (how embarrassing is THAT?)

The call for a two point play, THAT early in the game, was the stuff of Barry Switzer.

Please, let's not be like Commander fans and blame the refs....bad as they were.

Are you seriously going to claim that the officiating was impartial?????? Do you really want to argue that some calls were "suspicious" at best?????

This game was decided as soon as Tagliaboob sat down in his box.

Anyone want to answer why a former NFL Commissioner is has season tickets to one particular team?

....Oh, that's right, he kept them during his tenure seeing that he had them before he held his office.

Probably because he tackled him at the knees.

The refs were bad, but the calls were in the skins favor 9 out of 10 times, we had over 100 more penalty yards than the skins. It doesnt get more lopsided than that

Got nothing to do with me, brother. I watched the same game you did, and saw all the same problems you did. I also saw some stuff that you aparently didn't--like a team that finally did NOT lay down and die when things started to go bad in the 3rd quarter.

I saw a D playing together for the first time all year that hung in there just enough.... and an O that was great in spots and shaky in others as it has been all year, but did just enough....and special teams that did just enough and a little more ... all adding up to a team hanging in there and give themselves a chance to win. UNLIKE what we've seen for the last month.

Was the blocked FG fluky? Sure it was ... the kind of play that happens at the ends of games all the time, but only means something if you're in the game in the first plae.

Dallas came into that game a much better team than we did. One team was confident and feeling good about itself, the other was on a crazy losing streak and seemingly just waiting for something to go wrong again. Momentum works both ways.

We started fast, then faltered as teams do whey they're struggling...but instead of collapsing again like the last 3 weeks, they hung on, and hung on and hung on ... and caught a break that let them win one they could just as easily have lost.

Maybe we just have different definitions of what "handing someone" a win is.

He should try something, punish them for such mistakes, crap I don't know, we have had penalties all year and coachs need to push discipline and that doen't seem to be happening.

Agree I dislike TO and Henry played horrible, but the coachs on this team need to take some blame too, thats all I'm saying, it was a complete "team" debacle today, players and coachs.

Boy, you sure are a better human being than all of us.

Did you expect us to see you post, kiss your butt, then say, "yeah, you guys were the better team...we sure suck..."?

Probably not...

But don't expect us to be really rational right now.....We need to vent....

Understand?

Nope. Watch the replay. Head and shoulders at his level, clearly. Arms only wrapped around behind the knees. That's called tackling, not roughing the passer.

I already agreed they were bad, and named a couple of pretty clear calls they missed. As to your having 100 more penalty yards, that does suck. You guys'll have to work on cleaning that up this week. :)

We crossed that line and became exactly like the Commanders fan we started calling for our back up QB to play after a bad half of football. Its just that the Commanders coaches are smarter than ours.

I do. That's why I'm busting on my Commanders fan brother who can't seem to allow himself the luxury of enjoying about as exciting a win as he'll ever be treated to, and not you guys.

Let's try one more time...

I said, the refs stunk.

So did the Cowboys.

And yeah, football if like the WWF. If you think the games are fixed, why watch?

Bottom line is great teams find a way to win even when calls don't go there way. That is the sign of a successful team. We didn't get it done period.

His shoulder pads hit right above his knees

The only thing that would clear it up is to have officials that knew what they were doing. You guys got alot of help from the officials there is no way to deny it

Yep. My point exactly.

If we were playing the Bears and calls went against us, fine.

But...we were playing a lousy team without its best player.

Playoff teams win these games. Period.

My 2 cents. The Commanders should have lost today, but didn't. They have lost games in the past they should have won.

Aside from all that, the Cowboys shot themselves in the foot with those penalties, and have no one to blame but themselves. There were half a dozen blatant jersey tugging holding calls that weren't called, so it could have been worse.

BTW, you guys want Adam Archuleta? We'll pay you to take him off of our hands.
