come on OM. They moved the ball all over us. Our defense looked poor most the game, our offense looked inept for a lot of the game, and couldnt take advantage of the good field position that ARE gave us.
They had an unimaginable ammount of penalties, and a dropped pass that doesnt happen very often.
if thats not giving the game away, i dont know what is
(funny how you of all people are calling me out for being a skins fan
)
Got nothing to do with me, brother. I watched the same game you did, and saw all the same problems you did. I also saw some stuff that you aparently didn't--like a team that finally did NOT lay down and die when things started to go bad in the 3rd quarter.
I saw a D playing together for the first time all year that hung in there just enough.... and an O that was great in spots and shaky in others as it has been all year, but did just enough....and special teams that did just enough and a little more ... all adding up to a team hanging in there and give themselves a chance to win. UNLIKE what we've seen for the last month.
Was the blocked FG fluky? Sure it was ... the kind of play that happens at the ends of games all the time, but only
means something if you're in the game in the first plae.
Dallas came into that game a much better team than we did. One team was confident and feeling good about itself, the other was on a crazy losing streak and seemingly just waiting for something to go wrong again. Momentum works both ways.
We started fast, then faltered as teams do whey they're struggling...but instead of collapsing again like the last 3 weeks, they hung on, and hung on and hung on ... and caught a break that let them win one they could just as easily have lost.
Maybe we just have different definitions of what "handing someone" a win is.
