Why we talking about this? Any team in the NFL aside from maybe 4 or 5 would trade the farm for Mahomes w/o hesitation. I mean, that's just a simple fact. You said a Herschel type trade. Would I give up a 1,1,1, 2,2 for Mahomes? Not sure. Since we're including Dak, would it take the same pick as Herschel brought? No one is worth that.

You need to clarify your Dak value.

The Cowboys have Trey Lance. They have no problems at the quarterback position. I’ve read it on CZ on a number of occasions. He’s a phenom. Dallas’ QB room is the strongest in the NFL. “Yeah, I said it.”

Especially, since he is reneging on his original offer of Dak and "Hershel". He then says what are you offering, and then says denied. The original offer, Dak plus old Hershel or even a running back as good as Hershel in his prime, I would do all day for Mahomes.

We don’t really know what Lance is capable of in Dallas. Any speculation without him actually playing is nothing but speculation.

After today, he deserves a legit chance. Rush is clearly not the guy, because he’s never replaced the overpaid starter, and maybe if Dak knew he could be benched for piss poor play, he’d show some improvement after all these years.

Players should revolt and force the players union to correct.

Youre not giving up your job to bench Dak for a rookie. You know it. Youre relying on hope to do so. No GM with his job on the line is benching Dak.

I still think we have the best QB or at least top 5 guy. The entire team was awful today. Defense cost us the game along with dumb fouls and the refs. Purdy lost 3 in a row. That make him bad? What about Allen? He has had a rough year, or does he get a pass? They might miss the playoffs. Why is Dak held to a higher standard? Dak must overcome the stupidity of his teammates at times. Then the refs. I still believe NN is a great SB winning HC. But I have issues with Dan Quinn and the lackluster effort today by him and the defense. Where the heck was Micah? Why the chitty tackling?

More like what has been mentioned before, some people like to live vicariously through others. Which is why it is so important to them that Dak is the #1 or at the very least Top 5, because otherwise their fantasy would be broken.
