I don't know if he's going to win the MVP or if we're going to win every game but we need to stop dancing around it. Dak is playing the position better than any other QB in the game and has been for some time now. It's no longer about whether he's top 10 or "elite." It's about is anybody better. The argument could certainly be made that Purdy is certainly on the same level but that ignores the fact that he's getting WAY more YAC than Dak is and the main statistical advantage Purdy has right now is yards per attempt by 1.5 yards I believe and that is almost completely a result of the fact that the Niners' receivers are averaging 1.5 more yards per catch than the Cowboys' receivers. Purdy is clearly ballin, but Dak is ballin more! But at this point Dak and Purdy are 1 and 1a at the QB position. Nobody else is playing as well as those two.

I agree...never played football, I played baseball I was the catcher, and from what I'm seeing is he is throwing fast balls. Dak, looking way sharp as a knife getting ready to go find some buffalo meat ane cut it all up. Our team is looking way strong.

There is a HUGE difference between saying that and saying we have the best QB in the NFL.

What amazes me the most is how many posters in this thread (and so many on this site) are so quick to call out where they think Dak ranks when he has a bad game... as all 32 QBs do... they call him out for not being a top 16 QB, and some (we know who you are) will argue that he is only good enough to be a backup). Yet, when he runs off a series of games (or even 3/4 of an entire season) as one of top 2 performing QBs, those same posters disregard that performance and argue that only SBs matters and disregard his top level performance. Mind you that also disregards that top level QB gives you a better chance to get to and win a SB. These posters are quick to call out the negative and deflect, disregard, downplay, or ignore the positive. That's just crazy.

Dak is playing football better than any quarterback in the league. This is his offense, not Zeke’s or Cooper. I will also say this Dak had Garrett, Lenihan, and Paper Boy as his coaches before MM. To survive those guys tells you all you need to know how good Dak truly is. Dak is now teaching a masterclass on how to destroy defenses and he is only 30.

Mahomes might be the best quarterback prospect of all time but Dak is clearly playing better now. I don’t know how much better this offense would be with Mahomes instead of Dak.

Purdy has 2.1 YPA more than Dak.

He is at 9.9! That's an insane, pretty much unheard of, number. It's great for a game, but he's got it for an entire season.

QBs play a big part in players getting YAC, aside from screens. Definitely not something you knock the QB for.

He's playing the best ball in his career. He might have been more efficient in his rookie year overall but he was more of a bus driver and working off our strong run game and talented OL. We have neither of those now and this offense is his and he's commanding it at his best level. He doesn't have the luxury of Purdy of being hidden behind a plethora of weapons and a great OL. He's not turning the ball over at the rate Hurts and Allen is. Mahomes has taken a step back with his bad WR corp, but it's actually a miracle they are still 8-5 and could probably be better without some bad drops.

Burrow has had a washed season. Tua is a product of Hill and Waddle's speed. He turns the ball over a lot when it matters.

If Dak isn't the best right now this season, he's for sure top 3. I am not taking into account past accomplishments and reputation. That means zero for the 2023 season.

Not ready to call him the best but I certainly won’t argue that he’s been the best over the last two months. I’d still swap him for Mahomes in a heartbeat, but after that I think Dak has absolutely made a good argument.
