Purdy has 2.1 YPA more than Dak.

He is at 9.9! That's an insane, pretty much unheard of, number. It's great for a game, but he's got it for an entire season.

QBs play a big part in players getting YAC, aside from screens. Definitely not something you knock the QB for.

Dak has been playing really well lately, but let's not go overboard.

Does YPA take into account all the 1-2yd passes the SF RB/WRs do all the work for Purdy?

You do realize Dak has more passes behind the LOS (74) and from 0-9 yards (204) than Purdy who has 51, 153 respectively.

Despite the narrative Purdy actually has a higher percentage of his throws down field than Dak does. The guy is not the check down machine everyone makes him out to be.

I don't know if he's going to win the MVP or if we're going to win every game but we need to stop dancing around it. Dak is playing the position better than any other QB in the game and has been for some time now. It's no longer about whether he's top 10 or "elite." It's about is anybody better. The argument could certainly be made that Purdy is certainly on the same level but that ignores the fact that he's getting WAY more YAC than Dak is and the main statistical advantage Purdy has right now is yards per attempt by 1.5 yards I believe and that is almost completely a result of the fact that the Niners' receivers are averaging 1.5 more yards per catch than the Cowboys' receivers. Purdy is clearly ballin, but Dak is ballin more! But at this point Dak and Purdy are 1 and 1a at the QB position. Nobody else is playing as well as those two.

I don't think he is the best QB in the league. I have others I would pick over Dak. He is playing well now, but the season is not over.

And we're seeing this season how QBs are usually not single-handedly responsible for them. Mahomes looks downright pedestrian when three-quarters of his receivers can't catch a ball, or line up onside.

Well said. Once you get amongst the top five Qbs, it gets very difficult to say who is best. Dak is absolutely in that conversation.

I’m going to admit I was on the start over train after SF…. But what he’s doing now? In this system is incredible.

I can’t put him as the best yet till he makes at least an nfc title game.

No more being unprepared by this team come playoff time… dak is gonna be a big part of that.

We've play some pretty cupcake defenses. Eagles back half is atrocious and their supposed vaunted top run defense has looked bad for 3-4 weeks now. Dak also has a tendacy to go MVP lvl streaks once a year then fads out.

I just hope MM has turned over a new leaf in him and he continues playing this way. However means absolutely nothing in the end come playoff time. It's where he needs to shine.

oh wait until we lose a game. or win a close game and they will be out in force finding fault from the wrinkle in his socks to his beard. everything will get analyzed from here to kingdom come.

Really?? Would you be saying that if we had the worst QB? That's stupid to say you could care less. We have the best right now and if wasn't for him, we wouldn't even be in the playoff picture. He's a big part of the reason we can win it all. Because he's playing lights out! My God this place.
