Lets talk a bit about Demarvion Overshown.
6'4" 220lb rook with high ceiling.
Is DO playing behind Clark on the depth chart, if he puts some weight on does he compete with Sam?
Trying to figure out where this rook stud competes and finds his role early.

Seems like they plan on moving him around and playing him in a number of spots. From what I've gathered, I'm guessing he ends up in Kearse's role before its all said and done.

Gonna be fun to see what role the “Heat Seeking Missile“ will play here. I dont expect to see him rushing the passer much but his prior experience at playing in the secondary should make his coverage skills top shelf when asked to drop back in coverage

Thats my opinion early of DO, he can run better with big fast hands TEs than anyone on the roster.
Its a bold claim, but I believe he actually can be.

Yep, and Jabril Cox better figure out a way to back up LVE quickly or he will be cut this camp.
Man I'm rooting for him....but I just felt like we needed linebacker help last year and they wouldn't even put him out there. If he makes it out of training camp then maybe that means they feel better about him than I thought.

He is a saftey/LB combo in the.mold of Kearse. Quinn likes that type of player. He has molded this defense to his scheme over the past three years. Now a bigger, versatile deep DL that he can use in different fronts. A LB/DE combo in Parsons to use as a chess piece. Long, tall DB field with ability to roam, couple of them.can play man and press. Bunch of safeties that can drop or play close to LOS and blitz.

Flexible, rangy, attacking and looking for turnovers all the time

Maybe, but Kearse is in a solid position, he owns that role currently.
No doubt. Kearse is great in that role, but he signed a 2-year contract last spring. Lots of big contracts coming up. Will the front office extend him if there is another promising player on the roster?

Anyone want to suggest not putting too much on his plate, in some cases it's too much for these players a la Jalen Tolbert????

Overshown has lots of raw athleticism. His upside is very high but I expect there will be somewhat of a learning curve his rookie year. My expectations are he will need some time to adjust to the pro game. Maybe by mid-season we will start to see some of his potential.
