That strawman might stand if this thread existed in isolation. But it doesn't. It exists alongside threads devoted to hating Dez because he's hurt, critiquing his sideline attire, complaining about the draft, etc.

At 4-1, even this team isn't above reproach in some instances (DL, LB) but the threads popping up criticizing draft picks, CB, QB, WR (Dez's injury) are confounding, ACF.

People that want to be critical are awesome, it lends balance and separates us from homer sites like BtB, but the criticism we're seeing here lately is a lot of grasping at straws.

We're 4-1, when you pick an angle to criticize, it needs to be dead on. And if it is, awesome. Syd is an amazing poster here, I think his comment was more of a generality.

Some of these threads tho, I'm like, "am I missing something here, am I too dense" lol

Speaking of weaknesses, Risen's argument depends on people believing we've had poor CB play in Scandrick's absence and have won anyway. Whereas the opposite has been true.

The reality is, in a league where quarterbacks like to get the ball out in three seconds or less, corners absolutely matter if you want to make the quarterback hold onto the ball long enough for pass rush to make a difference.

Scandrick has only been the leader of the secondary for the past four seasons. Yea, take a seat at the 'ol burn barrel and take another swig of Ripple.

Orlando Scandrick's return will mean great depth and very strong packages. Plus he is a keeper.

A few months ago, he was a key missing part to the disastrous 2015 season.
