Let's talk about Overshown

Overshown could be are Zack Baun or he could play out his last year. Overshown has more talent then Baun so I am going to optimistic and say he has an All-Pro season.

230ish.....vs 220ish...(overshown)

We'll just have to see if hes one of those players that plays much bigger than what their size suggests...provided he stays healthy, has front trenches that help keep him clean, and he makes adjustment to yet another new incoming defensive scheme .. much
Overshown weighed in at 229 at the combine. Where are you getting the 220 from?

He had a massive leg injury. Of course he wasn't himself last season. I thought he did great to even get on the field last year.
Yes....of course. I only expressed my concern moving forward.
Would like to install a Nascar governor in his carburetor

Putting on weight for the combine and keeping it on are a far cry from each other.
He's mentioned in a couple of articles on DC.com that he's had issues keeping his weight above 220 through training camp!
Not sure about that, but here is a quote from him a few years ago, and he is noticeably bigger now:
“That meant gaining weight, and not just any weight, but gaining lean muscle weight and getting stronger,” Overshown explained. “And not just gaining weight in general, but gaining lean mass, muscle weight and getting stronger. I’ve put about 12-13 pounds of lean mass on, and I’m gonna go into camp a little bigger and then drop down to where I wanna play at, which will be around 233 or 234 [pounds].”

The problem was his starting point when trying to gain that 12lbs was around 218.
He never made the 233 and wasn't able to hold the 230 he did get to once camp started!

When was that? His official combine weight was 229.

Yes,
And we already established he put on weight for the combine but wasn't able to hold it through training camp!
We did? Show the proof, don't just claim this established thingie.

Overblown. He seems exciting right before he hurts himself. So what good does that really do for the team? Last year he didn't play up to his hype and that could be from coming back from injury or just him in the eberflus crap system. What I do know is we have yet to see him put it all together for a whole season. We need 17 games plus playoffs not 4-6 games and bench.

Agent 0 is my guy but if I were GM?? I'm hitting linebacker hard in free agency. And draft

I think he will be an OLB, blitzer and maybe play middle on passing downs. I would use him as a spy against running QB's.
Why?

DeMarvion Overshown projects well as a weakside inside linebacker (WILL) in a 3-4 scheme, particularly as an athletic "run-and-hit" playmaker in space.

As a fast, hybrid defender (6'3", 229 lbs), he performed well in blitzing scenarios under Zimmer, so I'd work him into the blitz again.

But I'd assume he'd be in the middle. He's always been a WILL, bro.

Why wouldn't he play the Will, same role as 225 lb Zack Baun?
He is a WILL and always has played that with the Cowboys, so I don't get why you'd put him out at OLB.

He's already got durability issues. Let him play inside and use him in blitz packages to get the most out of his skillset is what I'd think you'd want to do.

I'll be excited to see how it plays out. Might be the perfect fit for the guy.

I wouldn't draw conclusions for Parker talking about moving to OLB with what we'd plan for Overshown.

Liafau being moved to OLB is because he sucks at playing MIKE and WILL. It says they've given up on him as a interior LB and this is his last chance to find a position. I'd won't be surprised if he's cut before training camp ends.

Overshown is ALREADY in a contract year and we still waiting for something….

That alone tells he’s nothing special

You're a bit late to the conversation.
Start at the beginning!
Already did. Saw the comment, saw no proof being provided. His combine weight is documented, what's the proof that he was 218?

“more talent then (than) Baun” is good news for Overshown. Baun makes $17 million per year.

Let’s first assume that Overshown is completely healthy to start this season. What EXACTLY is Overshown capable of being in Parker’s new defense?

Will Overshown be used as a linebacker? Will he primarily be used at edge/OLB? Or does he have the speed to be used as one of the safeties in this defense?

It doesn’t seem like his body is designed to hammer OGs as a linebacker. But as an edge he would seem to have speed to burn.

Can he drop 10 pounds and be one of the better safeties in football? Getting this right might have a huge effect on this defense.

Can he be the “in the box” safety for the Cowboys in place of Wilson? Can he cover?
What is agent zero capable of in the new defense.

How about at this juncture none of us have a clue we don't even know exactly how much he weighs.

So we did our due diligence and we hired a competent coach in theory I'm going to trust him to do his job and decide the best place for agent zero in his defense.

Speculation at this point is a waste of time
We have haven't even had the draft yet
