Lets talk about what ended drives yesterday

Good luck, everything is Daks' fault according to most on here.
I am not a pro Dak guy. This really was not meant to be pro Dak or against Dak - he was fine. He did not do anything special. He was better than Rush. However, he sure did not inspire them to greatness as a leader!

So...same things as when Rush was QB?
For this individual game, yes. It was about the same as Rush's better games.

The thing is, this would have been one of Rush's better games, and it was a mediocre game for Dak.

That's not singing Dak's praises, just recognition that Dak is more talented than Rush, which is how it should be between the starter and backup.

Agree, he was mediocre. But if you had realistic expectations for someone coming off injury that hasn't played in weeks it shouldn't have been a surprise.

Spot on with everything else you said - I was just saying everything on here turns into Dak suck and is everything is his fault.

I didn't. The offense could have scored 14-21 in the first half if they had just come to play. I think Dak was playing well enough for that if we just convert those 3rd down runs and don't fumble!

I was told the offense would be substantially better with Dak than it was with Coop

So far 0/1

For this current Cowboys team, for now, this is the best game for Dak. Against the absolute worst defense.

Zack Martin said the Lions switched up some things during the bye week and didn't run the things they expected. He said they moved their linemen a lot less than they usually do.

Drive 1 - Bad pass by Prescott on first attempt and then a sack
Drive 2 - Can't convert 3rd and 1 run
Drive 3 - Can't convert 3rd and 2 run
Drive 4 - Penalties
Drive 5 - Fumble
Drive 6 - TD
Drive 7 - Sack-great defensive play by Hutchinson
Drive 8 - Can't convert 3rd and 1 AGAIN run

This was not a bad Dak game, It was pretty poor by the offense on the 3rd down plays that cost us sustained drives. They seemed to have a letdown thinking they did not have to makeup for Rush's shortcomings
The first pass to noah brown was counted as a drop by noah brown just sayin. Kellen Moore's inability to come up with something to convert those short yardage 3rd downs. Kellen Moore sucks

Holy crap....you guys are ridiculous.

It was one sack that came as a surprise to Dak. He didn't see Hutch until he spun around the RT. He was looking for a play further down the field, not a dump to the RB.

You guys complain when he dumps it quick and complain when he doesn't. Make up your minds.
It came as a surprise? Ridiculous levels of excuse making going on here.

Some would say that is an indicator of a lack of pocket presence. Didn't he literally fall down on his own? It was a great play by the defender but also a horrible reaction by Dak. I'm not saying Dak should have absolutely been able to make a play there, but he absolutely did fold like a cheap tent on that play.

I would like to see the replay but I never did .

On drive 7 dak should have been able to throw quicker
Pollard was wide open
He doesn’t look to the flat enough under pressure instead he ducks his head (watches the rush)
This is an area rush is better. He will keep his eyes looking when he is getting hit
 No one keeps their eyes open when getting hit. Not even boxers. It's a natural reflex.

I dont understand y u momos cant actually know what you are talking about before posting word vomit on here. Yes it was a drop and it was a drop in the stat sheet against Noah Brown

It seems to me, and I have not studied this at any length, that Dallas uses the little dump off in the flat as a last resort while other teams will use those quick passes to the backs in the flat as a designed play. The Cowboys will pitch the ball out to the backs but rarely throw out there quickly.
Those fast passes to the backs make the LB's play honest. We start smoking them on the outside it will open up the middle.

He had what looked to be good pass blocking in front of him with Steele. Looked right, then looked left and Hutch was on him.

If you want to put that on Dak....i'm not surprised.

Only qb in the league who gets blamed for 2 second sacks.

All these outside runs on 3rd and short drives us crazy. We have a power back, run him up the middle.

It was high and a bad pass that should have been easy. If you want to call it a drop go for it but that does not excuse the pass!

Rush is not better in ANY area than Dak Prescott in playing professional QB. Rush was a one-read QB.
