maybe, but nothing on or off the field says this guy was a smart hire.
On the field he was a huge success in college, and at least made it to the pros, which is more than the overwhelming majority of NFL QB coaches were able to do. Outside of that, coaches and players alike have praised him for his sharp mind and understanding of the game.
It's reasonable to argue that he didn't have sufficient coaching experience when he got the job, but it's blatantly false to claim there was nothing at all to suggest he was a smart hire.
Something I'm still curious about, that nobody that trashes QB coaches seems to be able to answer, is what is the criteria they use to determine if a QB coach does a good job? In Moore's case, what is it that anyone can point to that he did wrong? Or right? Or average? How would a fan even know?
