Which franchise gets to NFC Conference game first this Century: Lions or Cowboys?

With the Cowboys resembling more like the Lions than the once dominant franchise, the Lions had a nice 2023 draft.

Cowboys 2nd rd draft picks have been bad the past decade and can't seem to find OL talent unless they use a 1st rd pick. When a franchise relies more on the draft to fill holes than free agency, you see why the Cowboys haven't seen a NFC Conference finals in THREE DECADES.

Jared Goff is a borderline starter imo. Go Boys!

The Lions have reached one NFC conference title game in their entire history and have never played in a Super Bowl. I like our chances better than theirs.
C'mon now KJJ, you know what Iron Mike Ditka used to say: 'the past is for cowards and losers' and he had a point. Past means nothing. Lots of guys on here said the same thing about Philly until they won the SB a few years ago and made it again last year. I live in Michigan so the Lions are my second favorite team behind Dallas by default. I hate to say it, but they have a better chance of going deep in the playoffs this year than the Cowboys. Just my overall opinion based on all the young talent Detroit has brought in the last few years. They're for real, the Lions hype train right now in this state is full steam ahead, but I think with good reason.

Either we make it or major changes are coming. So if not this year, next.

Both the Cowboys and the Lions have their best teams in decades this year.

Where did we draft Biadasz, or Steele exactly? There's 2/5th of your starting line.

The Lions have one of the worst histories in the NFL. They have a history of ineptitude. I could care less what Mike Ditka says. Matt Stafford leaves Detroit where he couldn’t even win a playoff game and immediately wins a Super Bowl with the Rams. Lol The greatest player in the history of the Lions franchise quit on them. Even Calvin Johnson retired prematurely because he probably got tired of losing in Detroit. You’re biased, you’re a Lions fan and are pulling for them. Philly had some good teams years ago and had been to a couple of Super Bowls. The Lions had a pretty good team last year but I don’t believe in them or Jared Goff.

For now the Lions are all hype. We are coming off back to back playoff seasons. Love what the Lions are doing, but they have a lot to prove to be even at our pathetically mediocre level of recent success.

The Lions are good. They added some outstanding players in the draft.

Dallas beat them 24-6. Not really competitive. They’re going to be 0-2 in a few weeks and the bandwagon will have a lot of open spots

Like I said, I love what they are doing. I've also seen many a paper tiger in my day, especially in the NFC East

The Cowboys have their best team in decades. They will contend this year and next year as well.
With the exception of quarterback and play caller, I completely agree. what they contend for is the next question.

It looks like they contend for a championship no matter how you slice it.
