Overshown and Liufau looked really really good live yesterday. They got my attention after I heard them hit the sled. After that I was glued to them in live practice. Luifau is gonna be a leader, he was breaking down plays to the other LBs on the sideline and barking instructions. Overshown looks huge and fast, he too was breaking down plays to other Lbs. I noticed him running to coaches after plays to talk to them. I was skeptical bout the LBs but they stood out along with the DBs yesterday.

I still believe that the LB Corp isn't as strong as we need in terms of experience

Just one injury to Overshown or Kendricks changes the entire complexion.
LB corp is very strong. And deep. Best group the Cowboys have had in years.
I disagree that Clark has been outstanding. He ranked 46th in LBs last season and was consistently out of place.

We clearly have different definitions of what " outstanding" means.
Clark is finally playing in position this year and is having an outstand camp. Completely different than last year.
Even without Marquis Bell starting?
Huh? Bell is a S. Always has been. He was playing out of position last year also. After what we saw in the GB game I doubt he gets much playing time at LB ever again.

That was said, tongue in cheek.

The point is that I can't draw conclusion based on not seeing Overshown and Liufau play a single nfl snap and Kendricks is entering his 10th season.....there is a huge divide between Parsons and the rest of the corp both in experience and talent.

If some here feel that the LB Corp is a team strength, it's fine by me.....I merely wait to see the product this season

Harvey has been good and they have Parsons and Clark who has been outstanding.
Clark gets little respect around here but give this guy an opportunity and he improves.
Coming back from a spinal fusion and learning his responsibilities and assignments on the fly was double duty.
Damone has a solid chance to settle into a nice scheme that takes advantage of his true skillset, and that is playing the edge OLB strong vs run and making would be RBs and TEs pay in the passing game.

OVershawn has time in the system but no experience; Liafu is a rookie. Kendricks is critical for veteran leadership.

The team is thin everywhere. The talent level at LB is pretty high. I agree Chubb will be a great test.
Lol, this team is looking like they have a chance at being one of the best in the league provided they don't have too many injuries early. It's going to be difficult to set the 53 man roster. The weak spot is the dtackle position.

there are a couple of teams like SF that are simply better overall then the boys. But the list is short. Injuries always factor in; who can cope with them best and who has the least important ones often are the ones standing at the end

wish I had a buck for every player that looked 'outstanding' in camp and disappeared in the season
It's pretty obvious that they are greatly improved at linebacker. The additions of Overshown, Kendricks, Liufau, Harvey, and Wilson add strength. Then you have the improvement from Clark and Zimmer coaching.

It would be a miracle for him to be ready but you never know. I doubt one article is the end all be all for this situation.
It was just one reference. His contract was written based on his ability to play in game one , as the article states. The big question is how EFFECTIVE will he be?

The Browns were a top 6 rushing team even WITHOUT Chubb so I guess we'll just have to hope for the best

Just one injury to Overshown or Kendricks changes the entire complexion.....it almost a must that Liufau can hit the ground running.

The Browns and Chubb will be their first test
I doubt Chubb plays week 1.

He's coming back from a significant injury.
