I was ecstatic when the Cowboys drafted Liufau, especially when he was still available late in the 4th round. I had Marist Liufau as a late 2nd round pick value. Great pickup.
Drafted in the 3rd round. 87th overall, but yes, a great pick. I will admit I felt that Dallas could've traded down 7 picks and still would've got him but I'm glad he's here.

honestly if you have a GOOD NT with all thse LBs and Rush ends with Tank and Parsons just switch to 3-4 an rotate to a 4-3 on nickel and Dime
So Lawrence just becomes a stand up OLB? Guy can barely play 4-3 DE.

This is the best group that they have had in a long time at linebacker.
This is very true and from what I have been hearing , Mazy and Justin Rogers are beginning to show out in the 1 technique Nose Tackle position. That is the key to freeing up these athletes at Linebacker,to run to the ball, and make plays. This defense has a chance to be something special.

Overshown and Liufau looked really really good live yesterday. They got my attention after I heard them hit the sled. After that I was glued to them in live practice. Luifau is gonna be a leader, he was breaking down plays to the other LBs on the sideline and barking instructions. Overshown looks huge and fast, he too was breaking down plays to other Lbs. I noticed him running to coaches after plays to talk to them. I was skeptical bout the LBs but they stood out along with the DBs yesterday.
Thanks for the info, good news.If we stay healthy could be really fun to watch.

Oh ok. Thanks for clearing that up.

I guess you would prefer all the camp reports be awful saying the guys are running the wrong way and things like that.

Look, everyone is perfectly aware what IN CAMP means. The bottom line is if guys are struggling, that is what the reports are. If they are looking good, that's what the reports are. The reports from those specific players have been positive since the draft. Very consistent. For both Guyton and Liufau. They might be rookies. They might be NFL inexperienced. But that does NOT mean they can't play in this league and play very well.
So anyone extrapolating that a great camp means a great season would be wrong
You seem to think otherwise

You also take a chance by getting too cute and having someone grab who you want.
trying that game after the early 3rd rd is usually not worth the risk if you really want a player

I would run both at times the 3-4 and 4-3 .Keep offenses guessing what you are doing defensively.

IN CAMP does not mean in the season
you seem to not be able to remember all the camp champions that became season chumps
Nothing means much of anything until regular season games
you can claim all you want but there are no facts to back it up until the season
If the reports from training camp upset you so much, just don’t read them and spare us.
