Packers have stated that a long term contract before FA is the goal.
Regardless, I don't see any scenario where we try to sign him. Jerry has repeatedly let the MiKE walk and replaced with a draft pick going back to Norton Jr.
I really have a hard time imagining any scenario where Wilson isn't the starter outside of the slim chance someone they can't pass on falls into their lap during the draft!

,,, I haven't really spied the guy put a red dot on while I'm watching games, I think he's been here for too short a time to know, that but he'll definitely be here, I mean that's not that much to pay for a starter, or just a good rotational guy, but it's just going to depend on the draft and free agency,

so it depends on a lot of factors,

on who we get and who remains and all these other things, so he may end up by default because they run out of money or draft picks or you know the middle linebacker didn't fall to them BPA, maybe they win another position, because you do realize how little draft picks we actually have right now as it stands unless they end up trading Pickens for a 1st, unless they move down on one of those 1sts and turn it into multiple picks..

They're way over the cap and have very little picks,

so, it's going to be interesting so I guess my short answer would be who really knows at this point.

I don't care how old the guy is by the way talking about Q, The way he's playing right now he can play a couple more good years I'm hoping we can keep Clark develop Winfrey they're going to have to do a whole lot of crazy things with the cap and who they're cutting who they're keeping who they're restructuring who they're drafting I mean it's way too soon to be talking about this...

I prefer a free agent and use the 1st round picks the positions that are more expensive in free agency.
- Also don't want to depend on a rookie MLB.
- I like rookie edge because they are in a rotation which gives them more time to learn as they go during the season.

If Quay Walker does not get re-signed before free agency starts, I would over-pay to get him.

I’m all in using one 1st rd pick at edge, along with adding a veteran, bridge starter. Perhaps, Clowney returns and fills that role as the rookie starts as a backup in the rotation.

As for the 2nd pick, I’m torn about linebacker or safety, after watching Revel the last few games, confident, we don’t need another high end starter at the position, maybe just depth.

It will be interesting to see if they add any starters via fa at those 3 positions. Think adding a veteran safety and linebacker makes a ton of sense. Will Logan Wilson return? How about Hooker?Do they just sign a big fish like Hendrickson and add those positions via the draft?

That's fair, but the Cowboys can have both. I don't see anything wrong with drafting a DE then a MLB.

There’s not much at true MLB in this draft, at the top anyway. Logan has a few weeks to earn a spot on camp. Then we can decide but 6 mil needs to be more impactful to me. We will see as he learns the system how he does

That's fair, but the Cowboys can have both. I don't see anything wrong with drafting a DE then a MLB.

We'll be paying for Pickens, so I don't see that happening. I'd like LB and safety with our first 2 picks, maybe DE depending on the board.

Keep Logan, but they need to draft a guy who can compete for his spot.

Wilson, O & draft a stud LB either in first or 2nd round and LB should be set.

It’s going to take something like this. We just don’t have the draft juice to fill all our holes unless we trade some of the 2027 picks.

Issue with free agency is that if we want Pickens as a FA, and can’t get an actual extension, the tag is going to destroy our free agent options

I dont count Jerry's money like most fans on here but that 6 million price tag tells me no thanks. I need sideline to sideline type of backer to compliment Overshown

I hear ya, but Overshown is that sideline to sideline guy.

Our weakness is the other two positions, and imo, it’s clearly at MLB

SAM - Williams
MLB - Wilson
WLB - Overshown

The problem is that fans who hate Williams and want him gone are likely going to get their wish. He’s a UFA

I think we have a mess at LB. Hell, we can’t even be sure about Overshown due to his injury history.

If you get a chance, watch the Oregon Safety. He is no Caleb Downs, but he is a real good, versatile safety prospect.

Been saying, edge’s have a steep, developmental curve, need a bridge starter while they develop.
