eebs I agree with you on alot of things but not here, Sporano was not looked at as a head coach by most. Hell most people said Parcells only hired him so Parcells could control him.

Phillips was hired because he was soft and Jerry could control him/ do whatever he wanted as far as coaching the team went...

Not really-they won those 2 games b/c of gimmick plays they only do in college. "Fool me once, shame on you...fool me twice, shame on me".

Sporana will only last another year or 2, before Parcells will pull a Pat Riley, force him out, and get back in the ring himself. You watch it.

Notice I never said anything about a great coach. I only said Wade and Norv weren't the only two choices. But I'd take someone like Rex Ryan over Wade anyday. Or Haslett, or for that matter, I'd even take the Garrett over Wade instead of having Garrett in looking over Wade's shoulder waiting to takeover. The situation we have now isn't conducive to winning and Wade was a bad choice at anytime.

I made myself perfectly clear BEFORE the hire who I thought it should be, I said Jerry would be an idiot to hire Norv Turner and that Phillips was the right choice. My feelings were clear. Unlike you I dont come in after the fact and say anyone would have been better. I took a stance before the hire.

I know you want to deflect from the fact that you are wrong by trying to play the "give me a name of a coach that would make us great" game, but it isn't working. No matter what name I give you will try and tear it down even though the fact of the matter is, there were more than just two choices last year.

If Jerry were a decent GM he wouldn't need some fan on a message board to give him names, he could come up with them himself. But instead, he came up with two losers like Wade and Norv to choose from. And what's funny is he actually has people like you willing to defend it. Actually, I don't know if that's funny or sad.

And I recall several expressing concerns about Wade and also about Garrett being hired by Jerry before we even had a HC.
