LOL! Ed Werder ON ESPN said Jerry Ripped Team in the locker Room...

When Wade was hired over 90% of this board called it the right choice.

Who was your choice last year Bach?

He probably didn't make one so he wouldn't be caught now.

A little embellishment to bolster your debate? Me thinks so.

What Jerry needs to say to them all is - If you don't get it together and win the SuperBowl - Next years training camp is gonna be right here in Valley Ranch.
Maybe the heat will do them some good.

BS. He's the owner of the team and he writes the checks. He can do whatever the hell he wants to do with the team.
Yeah, he CAN do whatever he wants. Nobody doubts that. Does that mean that whatever he wants to do is a good idea? Of course not. Al Davis owns his team and can do whatever he wants, too.

I guess calling in plays from the owners box isn't a bad thing, though. After all, the owner can do whatever the hell he wants to do with the team.

Part of the problem when we hired Wade was the lack of good choices. That was the problem Parcells' retiring left us in. Sure, he hadn't really fulfilled expectations here, despite getting a floundering franchise back on track, so some fans (many, actually) were pleased to see him go. But the lack of replacements was astounding. Norv? Wade? Unproven guys like Singletary or Rivera?

There wasn't a shoo-in guy.

I didn't mind the Wade hire, but always viewed him as an extremely short-term guy who wouldn't only be able to keep this thing afloat, but not get it back on track if it treads off course.

We're now off course, so hopefully I'll be proven wrong.

then he SD asked laufenberg if it was his place to do that and babe said....

"no, he has never seen another owner or GM talk to the team after the game like that, but this is Dallas and Jerry does what he wants....and he Undermines his coaches and he did it again today to wade"

:hammer:

Plus hiring assistant coaches that he and/or his Boy Wonder Head Coach-To-Be want over who the head coach wants... Plus saying that distractions have never made a difference on the field... Plus saying he'll make the final decision on if his QB starts... Plus saying it's a positive for the players to be media stars because there's no such thing as bad publicity...

It goes on and on.

That's what I've been trying to tell everyone here-the DOWNSIDE of hiring Parcells is that he's NOT a long-term solution. He'll make your team very competitive, but at any given moment, he'll just bolt unexpectedly LATE in the game and leave everyone scratching their heads.

For example, he bolted the Giants in offseason May, leaving Ray Handley as their only emergency option. You know what happened in the next 2 years. He bolted the Pats after the Super Bowl after throwing a hissy fit over more control, leaving Pete "Mr. Nice Guy" Carroll as their only emergency option. They got off to a fast start, then slowly eroded over the next 2.5 years. He bolted the Jets unexpectedly and vowed never to coach again, leaving Al Grogh as their only emergency option after Belichick accepted and resigned w/i a 24 hour period. The Jets got off to a fast start under Grogh, only to crash and burn at the end of his only season.

Same happened with us-Jerry's hands ended up getting tied at the last minute...leaving him with Wade and Norv.

Funny how we were THRILLED when Huoack(sp) and Campo came on board last offseason.

How times have changed...

Firing a coach that is 13-3 last year and has shown he can get it done sounds insane to me.

We didn't have our starting All Pro QB who also has this offense built around him. Our starting CBs were out. You guys shouldn't be surprised this happened esp with the way it started getting behind that quickly that far.

I remember when Joe Dumars fired Rick Carlisle after consecutive 50 win seasons to bring in Larry Brown...Result?...A championship and 2 straight Finals appearances...Sometimes it's folly to get caught up in stats or records, seeing is believing...This team is a mess

If you can bring in the NFL equivalent of a Larry Brown, do it. Do you see that guy out there?

And even if that could be done... Jerry would have to stay out of the way. Would Larry Brown ever work for a meddler like Mark Cuban?

The point, however, was that firing a coach after a winning season isn't unheard of much less cause for surprise...Especially, considering the disaster that is building.

And while there may not be a Larry Brown equivalent for American Football (A good thing, IMHO), Cowher is available

Heh-the Pistons are/were in the same situation we are in now. After only 2 seasons, Brown threw a hissy fit(he made it look like the Detroit owners were the bad guys) and bolted. Dumars decided to hire a more relaxed, albeit players-friendly coach in Flip Saunders.

Result? Saunders had three VERY successful reg seasons(2 EC #1 seeds, and a #2 seed last year)...only to choke away the ECF in each of his 3 years. In his first year, they set records for offensive scoring and won 60+ games, but they looked FLAT in the playoffs. The year after, they lost to a pop-warner Cavs team in the ECF. Although they lost to the eventual World Champs Celtics in the ECF, they blew that series too.

Sound familar?

Ohhhh yes, don't remind me...I'm a Piston fan...I knew after one month in Season 1 of Flip's tenure he was the wrong guy.

Changes for the sake of changes aren't necessarily a good/smart thing...However, it's obvious to anyone who cares to really examine it, Wade is part of the problem, not part of the solution

Good for Jerry, he should let them have it.

And for the posters that are saying it is not his place.......HE OWNS THE DAM TEAM, HE CAN DO WHAT THE $%^& HE WANTS!!!!

Wade deserves to be undermined, tbh.

I would have rather took a chance on Ron Rivera or Rex Ryan but Jerry had to have a former HC and he wanted someone that would keep the 3-4

Basically Jerry pigeon hold himself into a corner. Jerry had other choices he was just afraid a rookie HeadCoach would cost him a chance at the Super Bowl so he decided to pick from 2 head Coaches that had proven they where no good at 2 previous stops not 1 but two.

So did Jerry have options yes but he chose to limit his options and as most called it both picks would have been a bad hire.

Exactly.

Most people would be :lmao: if they heard that Danny Snyder went to the Commanders lockerroom and chewed the team out. I remember laughing at him years ago when it was reported he took Norv to a private room immediately after the game and chewed him out for an hour.

It's no different with Jerry, he always undermines the coach and oversteps his bounds to the point it makes even attracting a decent HC a tough sell.

It's no wonder we fold like a cheap suit and have no leadership on this team. It's a totally dysfunctional environment.

That's not the point. The point is the owner/GM should put people in charge of the team to do this. You ever hear the saying "you can't serve two masters"? You really think a team is going to go all out for any HC when they know the guy has no real authority?

Sure, it's Jerry's team and he can put the headsets on if he wants to. But you think that's in the best interest of the team and fans?

I was freaking sick about Campo coming back. yeah, let's bring back that losing mentality. brilliant

I think if Jerry as the boss wants to rip into the team or coaching staff he can he does sign their pay checks....
