There wasn't anything malicious about either call. The call on Sunday was a mistake that put a negative spotlight on the officiating CREW and the Dez non catch was the correct call under the RULE and the league CONFIRMED it was the correct call. Instead of always complaining about the officiating, complain about our defense.
.....and Garrett and Jerry and Linehan and Marinelli and Butler and Escobar and.......

I would be ok with the call as no catch if the ref had called it incomplete on the field. Judgement calls happen. But overturning the call on the field

In real time you couldn't see the ball hit the ground and come loose, it took replay to see it. The call in the field was overturned because replay showed conclusively that Dez didn't complete the process of making a legal catch.

You want to play the realist role here which is fine but you can't deny that call screwed our momentum over and there were numerous calls that did that in Sunday.

We overcame that call to come back and tie the game and our defense couldn't make a stop. Blame the spike and our defense not being able to make a critical stop.

Stop toting the NFL line. I swear that you're here to minimize the damage on behalf of the NFL offices.

The officiating didn't get us beat and our defense did. We didn't lose our last two playoff games due a couple of officiating calls.

I'm not saying we lost solely because of the officials but if we are losing 7 to 3 and they make a call that takes us out or field goal range? We could've been 10-7 or losing 6-7.... that call among others resulted in us losing 3 to 21.....it completely rocked our momentum.

That penalty for me set the tone for the rest of the game. When I saw that in my gut I knew no matter what we wouldn't win. I won't blame the loss on officiating. But unfortunately. That one play took us out of fg range and probably costed us 7 points. At a minimum. 3 points. 34 minus 31 is what?

That's because you're probably one that looks for excuses, instead of the fact that our defense couldn't make stops. Excuses about the officiating helps ease the pain of a loss for some. It's like they're saying, it wasn't the Packers who beat us it was the officiating. If you listen to FANS here the officiating cost us both playoffs games with the Packers.

On the play in question, we had just picked up a 1st down on a 22yd pass to T-Will, which would have had us on the GB 15yd line. At the very least ( provided no turnovers, etc ) we would have had a FG attempt, if not a TD ( which would have taken the lead in the game 10-7 ) I'm not saying that call cost us the game but it could have very well cost us points.

They seriously need to either have an official from the NFL in a booth to overrule these ludicrous calls or allow 1 coaches challenge per half...and the NFL also needs to seriously look at the rules and get the dumb ones off the books.

Now...why would the NFL change anything that would lessen their grip on the out come of games? Think about it:rolleyes:

That is insane, it was a 14-3 game and Dallas had a real nice drive going. Instead they have to punt and fall back 21-3. If Dallas gets 7 there it is potentially 17-21 at half instead of 10-21. That is a YUGE difference.

No. That's not me. I'm just saying it was a horrible time and field position for a ghost call. Our defense was non existent. We did however hold them to 13 in the second half. In 2014 we didn't lose on the Dez non catch. We lost when Murray decided to fumble as he always seemed to do in important moments in games because he refused to protect the ball. And of course. The pass rush.......that couldn't rush somewhere if their wife was in labour

Getting stops in that game were at an all-time premium..and you can't get a possession back once it's gone.

In the entire game the Packers stopped us two times. The third time the refs stopped us with a bizarre call, using a moth-balled never used rule...AND using the rule inaccurately. On top of all that the procedural rule carried with it not just 5 yards but 15 yards....and it killed a huge play that put us on the door step.

There's a very good chance we win that game even with our soft defense if that contrived penalty isn't forged from thin air.

The defense got a stop. We were losing 21 to 3. We got enough stops to tie this game but it shouldn't have come to that. The calls were poor ok both sides but the timing of ours were terrible. Every time we gained momentum they would call something either not there or completely miss a call. It's not solely why we lost but this team isn't good enough to overcome the refs and the Packers.

Jerry Jones Money, Private Detective, the referee in question life for past 5 years, is he in debt, facing a divorce, go through trash, does he have a drug problem. Like little boys, whatever it takes I'd find it to see why such a bs call was made in a playoff game. If its just he is a no it all then just accept it and move on but I'm checking everything else to make sure if Im JJ.

That's the margin in the game - we got intentionally jobbed out of the past 2 playoff games against the coddled Packers.

Tell me it's an even playing field.

We had no momentum entering the game, Garrett saw to that by mailing in the season finale. We couldn't stop Rodgers on the Packers first three possessions, all led to TD's, that's what was rocking us. I don't live in the world of excuses.
