There's no assurances we score a TD had it not been for that penalty and we couldn't stop Rodgers. Had Mo been called for that clear holding he was doing on a Packers 3rd down, they likely would have scored again.

Second half was dominated by Dallas. The Green Bay defense was exhausted, and Dallas began to tighten a bit on defense. Zeke was picking up 5-10 yards at will.

Williams caught the ball inside the 15-yard line. Instead, Dallas ended up with the ball around the 50. It was a HUGE gamechanger, and it seemed strangely timed.

Supposedly, this call hasn't been made in the NFL since 1984. That's 37 years.

And Bob Sturm has tried to research it, and he couldn't find the call in 1984.

Something stinks here. So you're telling me 3 refs immediately threw their flags on an infraction that hasn't been called in over 30 years????? It stinks man...

That's the margin in the game - we got intentionally jobbed out of the past 2 playoff games against the coddled Packers.

Tell me it's an even playing field.

The NFL landscape is the furthest thing from an even playing field.

There weren't any fans in Green Bay booing the call of completion when Dez caught the ball. They all knew it was a catch, both watching it live and seeing it on the big screen on replay.

That is insane, it was a 14-3 game and Dallas had a real nice drive going. Instead they have to punt and fall back 21-3. If Dallas gets 7 there it is potentially 17-21 at half instead of 10-21. That is a YUGE difference.

There's no guarantees would have scored a TD and after we punted the Packers proceeded to do what they did on their first three drives and score a TD. We couldn't stop them.

I'm assuming there was there a particular portion of that video that was applicable to the penalty, but I don't have 40 minutes to spend watching for it. Do you know the approximate point in the video to watch for it? Thanks.

No. That's not me. I'm just saying it was a horrible time and field position for a ghost call. Our defense was non existent. We did however hold them to 13 in the second half. In 2014 we didn't lose on the Dez non catch. We lost when Murray decided to fumble as he always seemed to do in important moments in games because he refused to protect the ball. And of course. The pass rush.......that couldn't rush somewhere if their wife was in labour

The call happened early in the game and we were able to overcome it and tie the game late. A horrible time for a ghost call is later in the game, just ask the 78 Cowboys who had a ghost call against Benny Barnes help cost them a SB. We had 3 quarters to overcome that call and did. Once we tied the game late, the momentum was all on our side but our defense folded like it always does in the playoffs when the game is on the line.

The penalty occurred at approx 10:30 remaining in the 2nd (10:10 point in the video).

When you say "we", you mean yourself and the other employees in the NFL PR department, right?

FANS were preparing to make officiating excuses prior to the game, see the thread that was started and my comments. The officials blew a call but that one call didn't cost us the game. Some here just look for excuses.

And some people just use the ostrich defense and stick their head in the sand and think all is peaches and cream. With your reasoning, why even have instant replay during the game since everything evens out and flow of the game along with time and play calls are irrelevant depending on the score. If you are going to have instant replay to correct BAD or WRONG calls why not fix them DURING the game and not wait 4 days after the game and apologize? Strategy and play calling are dependent on the score at the time and result in momentum gained or lost.

You would have to be a fool if you think Dallas would not have either gained momentum or stopped GB momentum if they scored a TD at that particular time in the game. But hey, this is America, and you have a right to be wrong.

Coming back in the second half proves we overcame that call, it certainly didn't deflate us. When the game was on the line our defense did us in again.

But there's no guarantees either way. And while it may be true that the defense wouldn't have stopped Green Bay from scoring, that penalty took away the opportunity for points. That's the argument.

how about the missed wwe take down on the play that put them in position to win

crickets?

This is exaggerated. The "take down" was not really much of anything, the guy did not have much of an impact on Irving and his arms slid right off of him. Irving went down when he was pancaked by another guy in front of him. Video is much better evidence than a still photo.
