Lombardi: NFL admits call against Butler was wrong

I think replay should be like MLB and just have people at a centralized location watching, would definitely speed up the process
That makes too much sense, no idea why something like this wouldn't be seriously considered by the NFL. It's not like they have a lack of funds.

Even Rico Gathers said it was rigged in that vid I posted. Kind of funny and sad even players know. How can you give your all for a sport that may never reward you if you're not the predetermined winner?
Which is why I for one won't be tuning in this weekend. For some reason (ratings) they want Rodgers vs Brady and they will make whatever it takes for this to happen.

Yet again, the most valuable franchise in the world, the most popular team in the most popular sport in the USA and they continued to get hosed by odd calls in big games....No way this happens to an east coast team under the same circumstances
What does east coast have to do with anything when you just admitted the league benefits by dallas staying on tv?

If some want to blame that penalty on the loss go ahead, now you'll have something else to go along with the Dez non catch from the 2014 playoffs to keep banging your heads over. Our defense lost us this game not a penalty.

I speak for many Cowboys fans when I say, we want a correctly officiated game when it matters most, win or lose. Who knows how the game would have played out, no one does. But at the end of a playoff game, we expect to see the result of a well-officiated game. We can accept the end of the Cowboys season if and only if the referees did not interfere. Otherwise, the bitter loss may not have happened.

Now if they would just admit the missed PI on Witten, and the non-holding call against Irving we could at least have the satisfaction of the NFL acknowledging their own incompetence.

And Tony Corrente does NOT officiate another Dallas playoff game. Ever.

If the rule was technically violated, I'll take back what I said about firing the guy. But it's still bush league.

If it's a rule that's getting abused and not being called, you don't pick the playoffs to suddenly start calling it. It's like when the NCAA started actually calling hand checks in basketball. They didn't wait until the Final Four and have a ref start calling it out of the blue. They let the schools know it was going to be a point of emphasis and they started calling it early in the season to allow teams to adjust.

To single out a team (any team, it just happens to be Dallas in this instance) to suddenly enforce the rule against in a playoff game is idiotic.
