Honestly if they went all in every 3rd or 4th year and had a down year or 2 in-between give me that any day over decades of mediocrity.

It's sickening, I don't see how we're so relevant these days, what a joke!! You don't win, yet you're still making money as if you are

Last year we were in aww on how much they spent to bring in players. Now it seems in the last few weeks, someone is going to be released, or allowed to seek a trade!

Wagner, Robinson, Ramsey and now Stafford.

We all want the cowboys to spend, but if it comes to us going into rebuild mode, it's not worth it all. Take your chance on one big name, and continue to hope for the best in these bottom barrel players!! Please give your thoughts
If you are gonna shoot your shot you better hit bullseye.
Rams got a title so can stomach a little rebuilding but it does appear they may well have to replace the hot young coaching star and most of the roster.

Wouldn't shock me if Philly is sitting here in 12 months with same issues and they didn't get to lift the trophy.

It does not work that way. Or even close to it.

Philly took 5 years to recover and thats only because they found a team on literal crack to overpay like crazy for Wentz.

Every team in the league for go all in if you could rebuild in 3-4 years.
You can probably go all in every 7-8 years.

Rams got lucky as did eagles. One failed one didn’t.

Depends on if you have a championship focused Front Office willing to concede/risk a few lesser years in order to win it all.

But even the so called rebuilding years projects don't seem to take near as long anymore with capable people in charge of running football operations.

IF/when the Rams return to yet another NFCCG/SB on their third QB within the next 3 years and Dallas still hasn't sniffed an NFC Title game then just maybe ya gotta consider changing up how ya do business a lil bit.

But hey,
Jerry's still gettin those Forbes most valuable sports team titles every year so what do I know.

smh, lol

The only mistake the Rams made, was trading draft picks to draft Goff… When they’ve traded picks for veteran players and signed high priced free agents, they’ve done it very well.
Their strategy almost always will have a reset and start again process to it, but so far it’s working for them.

Sometimes I question whether the goal is to win a superbowl for some. Whatever we've done the last 28 years has not worked. So it makes perfect sense to just continue down this path of being this talented team that can't get over the hump. I swear these off seasons are like groundhog day.

Winning a Superbowl is worth at least 5 years of the misery they are going to go through. Way better than what we have been watching for a couple of decades at this point.

Why can't we get more
I think one factor is the Jones family’s attitude where they always think their core is ‘so close’ that they focus entirely on keeping them together at all costs. That maintains the status quo of ‘competitive’ and not ‘rebuilding’ but it has never been good enough to win it all.

The Rams ‘sold out’ twice within a 5-year span and had two appearances and one Championship.

We’re on 28 years and counting.

You have to pick your spots. We act frugal on the FA market, while over paying home-grown guys with lesser resumes. It happens far too often. I'm not saying we shouldn't retain stars, but if we are open to re-signing our own, we should be open to FAs.

This team having gone back to back 12-5 seasons needs to take a shot. We don't have to mortgage the future but we do need to be aggressive on a couple FA positions.

And they won’t be sniffing another any time soon.
Really, Rock?

So all in to win one is worse than none in and sitting at one and done in the play-offs? There are people here who actually call for blowing up this team and starting over. Does that have the same results as the Rams, without one small item difference?

The Lombardi.
